Trucks have been doing this for years (decades?).

Max load at this position is 500#.
Even years before the manufacturers added the cable mount for half way, I used to flip the cable over the latch bung used to hold the tailgate closed.
Haha that's to easy. Still wouldn't trust it.
Besides reading is for boredom 😂😂
more trustworthy than shite house techs.

I bought a trailer for my quad. So much easier.
Well... I've "bought 4" trailers over years for mine, one completely overkill, one complete fail 2 goldilocks ones.
Back on topic.
A set of airbags is a fix, if I can remember what air bag kit works better for some of us I'll try posting it the one listed for Gladiators from Air-Ride are not quite up for the Max-Tow package springs. But one of the Ram kits is. :like:
Via a video call with a some of their guys and measurements being done live on gravel. ;) I haven't ordered them yet as it's a PTA to remove current air bags and replace them.

What the…
I was half right then, more money than brains. There’s no way they got it home
Unfortunately there is hundreds of photos and videos of D.A. doing stuff like this that are not A.I. Lawn tractor on sheet of plywood on roof of car, a D.A. hauling a ladder crossed way though car windows. Many years back, one I personally saw of clowns hauling king sized bed, mattress box springs on roof of Chevy SUV only being restrained by the people in it. . . Including the driver.

After seeing what he was trying to haul, I had to look up at the date of the post and make sure it wasn’t April of last year.

It’s not a bad job. I just did this, removing the bags from my 21 JTR and reinstalling on my 23. Coils out, squish the bags in the coils till they fold long ways, get a couple zip ties in there to hold the fold then pull them straight out.

Sumo springs or Timbrens is my vote, I have ran both over the years. Currently have Timbrens on the Gladiator. As far as a half cocked tailgate goes, Gladius Offroad sells an aluminum replacement for the plastic piece. It holds up better than the OEM piece.

Hit the Gym , try weighted walking lunges and Dead lifts. That will help the booty .
Now as to the springs . Get a set of Air lift airbags. Easy to install and would help that pretty quick like 👍
HAHA! I'm 100% Italian and was blessed with a dump truck. Not lacking in that area, but as for the springs i'll check that out!

It's your load distribution. If the quad could roll forward that additional foot or so the weight would be more even and I bet the sag would go away. I've had 1000# of mulch in the bed before and all it did was ride level. (Willys, so same suspension as a sport S)

The bulk of the weigh from that quad sits behind the axle line. The uneven load dissuasion will contribute to the sag. Teh load capacity is about ~1700 lbs and this will include gear and passengers. What's the quad ~700lbs?

Seems to me load distribution would be teh biggest contributor. Do you notice its riding on the bump stops?
AEV 700lbs over springs. Wonderful
