Doesnt help, mine told me they wont even look at it until atleast Aug when Jeep projects to maybe have a "fix".

Oh the humanity of it all! I had my 2021 Gladiator shipped to an East European country for my personal use. The destination country currently does not care about USA registered vehicles. That could change in the future. I bet I will not be able to get it repaired over here! Talk about shooting yourself in the foot

Well since they're both similar, just one's bigger a bit, I'm guessing a Renegade. But they're literally just Fiat 500's in a "Jeep" body. I never liked the loaner I had, came 9 speed, but you'll never hit even 8th gear without cruising over 80mph. 9th must be for DC where they drive 95+ during rush hour in all 12 lanes.

I used to "force feed" my Renegade into 9th all the time. That's where you get your best mpg. I typically got 38-39 mpg if I could keep it in 9th. Once I was above 67 mph, kept steady on the gas, no inclines, I'd pop it in manual and upshift to 9th. Going 80 in 9th kept the mpg's up. Overpass a little steep ? Back in 8th, whether it's in Auto or Manual. Road flattens out; put it back in 9th.

On the Mopar site on my account it says parts are available, to call my dealer. So I did. He said bring it by in the morning, it will take half a day. I asked if I needed an appointment, he said not needed, just come on in. He did say if I needed repairs, it will have to stay here. I said my service rep already put me on the "loaner list" last week when I was in for an oil change.

Apparently they "performed the recall" per the paperwork, but it doesn't indicate any parts used/replaced. It says .30 hours on the paperwork so my suspicion is they examined it and it didn't need anything.

I'm still moving forward with replacing the OEM coolant tank, thermostat and hoses with Mishimotor gear to get as much heat off the motor as possible. I'll pull an oil sample and send to Blackstone to make sure there's no contamination across the head gasket.

My ORP has not been working properly, and I asked them to check for fault codes and an update. I unmarried my Tazer last night, did a couple soft resets to UConnect and nothing changed. Dealer found nothing and quoted $1900 to replace the radio (!!). I cleared personal preferences in the lot, and by the time I got off it the ORP was back.

I'm going to plug the Tazer back in later and go for a drive. We shall see is the operative term but for now it's off to Bass Pro to get some sinkers and some braid because tomorrow I'm hitting Assateague for some solo surf fishing.

At first thought yes. But the Tazer is in and the last few cycles ORP has been back.

No Idea, Dropped it off, used my last "free" oil change and tire rotation, picked it up, and parked it back in my garage. If it's broke, fix it, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. When I built my panhead, I got a t-shirt that said "Ride them till the wheels fall off", The t-shirt turned into rags, and the panhead was still running down the highway, and the wheels never fell off.

I recently took mine in for its last free oil change… no mention of the recall and I completely forgot to tell them…

Looks like I need to make an appointment for them to inspect as I see an open recall now for mine…

Would be nice to get a Ram Rebel as a loaner….

That’s a nice service to have! Not sure if mine have that or not but they’d probably balk at it anyway with how far away it is.

Don't worry, it'll be done 2 seconds after the shuttle leaves your driveway.

The 2 dealers I use both provide free shuttle service. But like you, neither would drive me home, I live too far also.

When I asked about the shuttle service, she asked where I lived. Plain as day I said, "Dallas.". She got pie-eyed. I laughed and said "4 or 5 exits down. Gotcha, though !!". She comes back with, "No ya didn't, I was going to say, "well, have a seat in our waiting room.".

For reference, I live 245 miles south of Dallas. Houston is closer to me.

This dealer even offers shuttle service for freaking oil changes. This is a foo-foo dealership, they have an in-house coffee bar with a full time barista, you can get coffee with all that Starbucks lingo that I do NOT understand. If you get there early enough, they have pastries as well. When getting my oil changed, I usually get a cup of what I call "regular coffee" which I've learned is now called an "Americano". Why ? Why ? I always tease the barista (I'm old, I can pull this crap off now). When she asks how I like my coffee, I always say, "I like my coffee like I like my women. Strong and bitter.".

Mine apparently is taking a wee longer. I dropped it off at 11:45 my time, it's now 2:00, no word yet.

They're probably in the back playing rock/paper/scissors/lizard/Spock to see who does it... Best of three. (the lizard/Spock was added for those that watched Big Bang Theory)
