Neither seat heater works, the buttons do not light up, and the fuses are okay. I know there is a Comfort Seat Steering Wheel Module under the steering wheel. All wires are firmly seated. Is there a way to test this module?

I also read something about a loose clock spring under the air bag in the steering wheel. I have no idea how to get to that.

Any help greatly appreciated!!

Did you check all connections?

Disconnected for 30 minutes. That didn't work.

If at all possible, first check for fault codes to see if there are any present for the comfort seats and wheel module system. That'd help narrow down what the particular fault may be and what testing should be done.

If the steering wheel heat works, it's not the clock spring. Do the lights in the buttons light up and then flash and go out? Or just don't turn on at all?

Gregj
edit to add, try turning them on in the UConnect, should be in the controls icon.

There are no trouble codes at all. The backlighting works on the buttons, so it's not the button assembly. Any other ideas?

I'm thinking it needs a new control module.

Steering wheel heater does not work. Button lights for all three don't light up at all, but the backlight works. Heaters don't work from UConnect either.

Sounds like the module is dead, knowing if there were codes related to it would be nice to know.
Baseline 4x4 on eBay usually has them pretty cheap as I’ve bought a couple from them.

Heated seat module

I plugged the module into my '21 JL and the heaters worked. So, it's not the module. There are no trouble codes, checked with a OBDLink LX.

Mystery with drivers side . mine works but stoped coming on automatically below 39 degrees. manually works fine , is set to work in the radio . Went in and checked everything with alfaOBD and everything I can find says its all set to work . I gave up , I hate electrical issues . Thats why I always liked basic Jeeps they had less things to go wrong electrically until they started making them appeal to everyone

Some here say these things aren't bad with electrical, but based on my experience, they are. Plenty of electrical issues with mine. My seat heaters are ok for now, but my heated wheel doesn't work.

Recap:
Both seat heaters and steering wheel heater do not work.
Button lights don't work at all.
Backlights on the buttons do work.
Both fuses are okay.
Tested the Comfort Seat Steering Wheel Module in my '21 JL and it works fine.
Checked the connections under each seat.

Anyone have any ideas? Hate the thought of taking it to the stealer.

Verify you are actually getting ignition switched power and a good ground to the module at its harness connector. See the wiring diagram I posted earlier for pin numbers & colour codes. If those check out good, the next likely suspect since we know the module works is a fault with the communication bus to the module, or a fault with the center stack. Button and screen input commands to activate the heated seats and steering wheel come from the center stack.

I'm not familiar with OBDLink LX, can it show connectivity status of each module in the vehicle? If yes, see if it can communicate with the comfort S&W module.
