I’m not a horsepower addict but I got the Banks Pedal Monster and it has made all the difference. Smiles all around every time I drive her.

(Yes, I know it doesn’t add horsepower, lol)

That is the only thing I miss about my 2017 Canyon... it was really quick stock! But the 2wd crew cab short box really sucked driving in the rain... on corners had to be careful to keep it from getting too ass happy. I LOVE how well the gladiator rides and handles much more than how the Canyon did.
I had a 2018 Colorado and a 2021 Canyon AT4 and both had the rear locker and auto 4wd. I never experienced any issues in the rain or snow with either.

I wish the Gladiator came with the option of the 5.7 hemi which I think would be perfect for it.

I think a straight 6 4.0 would be my ideal engine. A reborn version of the old classic with 350 tq and 320 ish hp would be perfect for a midsize. The V8, while fun, is overkill for this platform.

So, you drove another Mojave?

Don't let your current one know this...it'll get jealous and you'll soon find yourself replacing batteries, having cylinder misfires, leaking rear diff, leaking roof, etc.

They get so jealous so easily ;) ;) ;):LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL:

I am really hoping Jeep drops the new I6 Hurricane HO into the Mojave in the future.
Chances are they will only go with the Standard Output, but one can dream!

I posted a link last week. Stellantis patented a turbo that's integrated into the intake to save space.
That technology should clear the way for turbo engines to fit into just about any platform that previously had normal aspiration.

saw that! Hopefully they do something with the patent.

The Hurricane I6 is already in production on the Wagoneer models, the SO makes 420HP and the High Output makes 510

My Mojave has Mopar beadlock wheels and 37" tires on stock gearing. I have no issues with power even with the heavier tires and I do a bit of city driving zipping in and out of traffic. I picked up a new camper last week and even though it was like pulling a 2700# brick behind me I cruised at 65 in 6th gear (automatic trans manually shifted) with no power issues. I do live in Michigan so not much for hills. I am putting a hold on regearing because I don't know, for where I am, that the gearing would be of much benifit.

Hey Hank,
A comment and a question. I think a re-gearing would make a large and noticeable improvement.

Can you explain to us what your job is and what trends you see between the Ford and Jeep manufacturers? Thanks.

Jumping back in.. I run the Banks Pedal Monster, 35s Automatic. I can light the rears up with just off idle hit it.. did away completely with any start off lag..and strong thru all the gears. BTW.. look up the HP on the 5.7L hemi.. almost the same as the 3.6L the difference is the Torque #s.
Does anyone running the pedal monster have a recommendation in regard to going to the dealership? Do you take it off? If someone didn't take it off did you get "in trouble" due to using it?

I've got one but haven't installed it yet as I have a dealer appointment coming up for them to look at why my rear sensors aren't working after I reinstalled them into the LoD bumper I put on.

I'm more than happy with my JT's power. Coming from a 1995 K1500 with a Throttle Body 350... this JT rips even with 35s and 4.10 gears. I even much prefer the JT responsiveness vs our 2016 Yukon with the 5.3L. Our Yukon frequently seems to be "caught off guard"...

I've heard about the JT's tranny learning your driving behaviors. Maybe a "reset" is possible?

My company acts as a warranty admin for dealerships. We get the warranty claim in, with the tech comments and parts billed to the claim. We read those comments and assign labor operations so the dealership can get paid. All manufactures have problems. Right now Ford is having more than others due to recalls and what I believe is poor management. I see issues last for years that should have been resolved at the beginning but for whatever reason, they do nothing. As far as our vehicles, over the years I have seen fewer and fewer problems with them. The 3.6 has fewer oil leak issues and cylinder head issues which plagued them in the early years. I have had very few transmission claims come through also. I keep seeing things like comsumer reports saying the Jeep Gladiator is the most unreliable truck out there, but it is not what I see come across my desk and as someone who has 32000 trouble free miles on my Gladiator find it hard to understand. If you or anyone ever has a specific issue I can check the service data base to see if others are having the same problem. No manufacture is without faults though.

So ever since I have had my 21 Mojave I have always felt like as far as power, it had that “Couldn’t pull a greasy string out of a gnats ass” kind of power. With that said, I drove another 21 Mojave today and Shazam! That thing moved out like a scalded dog! What in the heck?! Could there be that much inconsistency in power? Has anyone else experienced this?
No, my 2021 has plenty of power for me. I did have a 3.6 in another Jeep that had issues with the engine that sounds like your issue. My dealer gave me a new jeep

KX L..that would vary by dealership and their ser. mgr/techs.. I spoke with the ser mgr and the techs at the Jeep dealer I use asking should I remove? The answer from the techs don't bother he will remove and reinstall if he needs OBD port.. He's cool, he is planning to put one on his Ram 1500. He did say getting very aggressive with the tune could create trans holding shifts longer; so far with mine set at 70-75% of full on the street setting No Issues.

I disconnect it from the OBD port and stash the cables the best I can when I’ve taken mine on. It doesn’t take that much time to remove it altogether if you want to.

The Pedal Monster still is my favorite mod to date. The JT has significant pedal lag (at least mine did) and it sure makes it feel more powerful even though I know that’s not technically the case. I’m curious how it compares vs a re-gear. The Pedal Monster is obviously a much cheaper option.
