Stuck in "in production" since 2-20, is this normal?

Body Vendor is where they install all the accessories that do not get installed on the assembly line.

I'm assuming bedliner and maybe tonneu cover?

Tonneu cover for sure. Bedliner may even be another control point as I know they have a onsite third party shop that does it.

You may have another couple of weeks before it is ready to ship and it may languish a bit more before it ships.

Given what you said earlier, I think your Jeep may have been held for something in main assembly. What that could be is anybody's guess?

See that's what gets me, they keep telling me it should be here in 3 weeks but also a month after it's built.

I just find it annoying I can't seem to get a straight answer from my dealer.

Hopefully April 17th is right as I'm on vacation that week!

Unfortunately the dealer doesn't typically have any better information than the status codes provided unless they happen to know someone on the inside that works in the plant.

A loaded Rubi has to make at least one additional stop outside of the main assembly line for the extra accessories. It's across the highway from the main plant.

Then you have to deal with shipping via railroad if you are more than a couple hundred miles from the plant, and that's another disaster all together.

My '22 Sport S took two months exactly from order date to arrival date. Minimal options, and I made sure to order nothing that was installed outside of the main assembly line. But - that's also actually just what I wanted anyway.

We understand the frustration, but since the Rona everything is just fucked up.

Good thing, since its its at "body vendor" you truck is built homie.........the hold up will be the spray in bed liner. It held mine up for a couple days.

I ordered 18 Aug and took Delivery 23 Oct

Here's my current status. It wasn't in production long, which I didn't expect it to be. Got an email on 3/14 that it was in production, I checked a week later with dealer who saw status JB - Shipped to body vendor, then a few days later I got the email that the vehicle was built and was able to retrieve the window sticker. At the same time the estimated delivery updated drastically, sooner and now we're here. Nothing changed that it was shipped yet though. Current delivery is slated for 4/4 lol Hoping it shipped and it'll update when it arrives at dealer or just shows up.

Also a decked out Rubi with bed liner. That was the only "aftermarket option" that it should have had per my build.

The tracker finally updated for me and it is now saying it's actually built!

Makes me much happier! I'm not to far from Denver and the rail yard goes through there so hopefully that wont take terribly long.

This is actually pretty typical you'll have what feels like forever of nothing and then, "boom" it is built.

I don't mind being patient, I do get frustrated with misinformed. I originally was told Mid march, and now my vacation plans are messed up.

I did get the bedliner so that may be a bit of what holds it up.

I'm mostly just trying to see if this has happened to anyone else as it's new to me, last time I ordered a Jeep the info was spot on.

Mine has been stuck in D1 status since Feb 2023 as well. Order was confirmed on 31-Jan and D1 a week later. No info since then until last week. I received a call from my dealer that jeep has dropped my order out of D1 status as they no longer have the Earl Grey color as an option. Go figure. Someone really messed up this order already.

Was finally "built" March 28th, and sounds like it's just sat in their lot. No shipping info, but everyone tells me an ETA of April 17th, a week from now.

I'm pretty confident that if it ships today, I still won't see it in a week.
