As opposed to a snow shovel? Not going to call this video click-bait but let's call a spade a spade...
Could be tunes, emissions, laws, who knows. So i guess this confirms that ROW Jeep Gladiators still get the GPEC2... why.![]()

More like a pooper scooper...As opposed to a snow shovel?
I think the correlation was related to A/T v. M/T. At least that was my observation. I have a 22 w/ A/T and the 5.Could be tunes, emissions, laws, who knows.
Why was there a mix in this country last year?
For a while we were comparing PCMs in one thread - some got 2a, some got 5, same model year.
Laws and rules are different out there - but then here I am speculating![]()
Wiring/connectors very different. Doesn't matter that engine and transmission are the same. The harness is different.I was wondering: Is it possible to purchase an older ecu and have that unlocked and then install with supercharger? The engine and transmission are the same. Or is there another component involved?
Thanks
Hardware plus there’s apparently a whole security lockout unless the VIN matches, and there was question of whether the VIN could be overwritten.Wiring/connectors very different. Doesn't matter that engine and transmission are the same. The harness is different.
the connectors on the ecu are completely different. i suppose you could cut the connectors off or depin all wires....get the gpec2 versions, and then repin wire for wire? Not trying to be a smart ass, but how could the wiring be different? They have to be able to integrate into current production, which means the same connections. Security prevents changing thru security gate but not in hardware. As long as security acknowledges vin it should accept settings in unit, right?
Sorry, just my 2 cents worth. I want a supercharger, too!
Nope, very very different wiring harnesses. They know which build would get which PCM and so they get the correct harness and so on to match. Not trying to be a smart ass, but how could the wiring be different?
