Teraflex 1.5 Inch Front Leveling Kit

I just installed the 1.5" Teraflex as well. used all the spacers. steering off a tad so off to damn Dealership today for alignment! smh

Did you re center your steering wheel by adjusting the drag link? Very easy fix if you didn't. Not sure why you would need an alignment?

YEAH NOT SURE EITHER. the body shop that typically does all my installs said my steering is off a tad and it sure it. hes really good too so not sure why this happened. have to be honest though i thought this was a front/rear lift not just the front. arrrrrg! so now i'm like damn, i should of just got a 2.5" coil lift from Big Bobs Garage. (have you heard of them? ) i added wheel spacers too. it looks better but nobody would ever see the diff. if you were not in jeep world.

Thanks so much I wish I had a bigger lift on it but I don’t want to get into suspension again I just had such a bad time with my Mopar unsure if I got it direct from Chrysler the 2 inch Mopar left I’m sure I would like it perhaps I will get a Rubicon next time and call it a day as that would probably have everything I want

Honestly, at 1.5" bump stop extensions and shock extensions are both unnecessary. But, if I had to pick one, I'd rather have the shock extensions. The shocks do a lot to locate the axle properly in it's arc of travel and maintain proper up and down travel. They should be kept close to their factory ride height point in their stroke. The only thing bump stop extensions will do is limit down travel to prevent damage to the coils, but at 1.5" it's not enough difference to cause a collapsed coil.

I will say that the Daystar shock extension brackets are BEEFY. They make the stuff that Rough Country sent me look ridiculous.

The shocks have nothing to do with keeping the axle in the arc of movement. That is the job of the control arms. Shocks are for dampening travel events. Bumpstops don't care about down travel, they limit up travel to keep things from banging into each other. "Most" down travel is limited by the full extension of the shock.

You're kidding, right? The shocks are THE thing that control the extent of up and down travel....which is the reason you disconnect them when you need to move the arc of motion farther to install a spacer lift to begin with. The only thing the control arms do is locate the axle laterally.

Shocks should not be your method of controlling up travel. That is the job of the bumpstops. In other words you should have enough bumpstop extension to keep the shocks from over compressing causing damage to them. Control arms allow the axle to move in the arc. The track bar/pan hard bar is what keeps the axle from moving laterally.

Added the Teraflex 1.5”:front spacers and 37’s to the wife’s JT yesterday. Just temporary till I add a JKS ln a few weeks. Will get it re geared over the Holidays.

That is correct. Stock Rubicon suspension with a Teraflex 1.5” spacer on front coils. Ride is good. If we weren’t going to off road the truck some, we would leave it as is. Here is a couple side pics. Looks nose high, but isn’t.

Have the Teraflex 1.5 and rear .75 spacer waiting to go on. Waiting on the Falcon shocks and steering stabilizer to come in. Excited to see the subtle difference in height. Still juggling tire ideas.

I am assuming the appearance of the nose high is the higher rubicon fenders up front even though the gladiator is sitting level.
