A bigger question for @JeepCares is why do we still have an open recall after it was issued nearly a year ago and they still haven’t produced the replacement parts?

JeepCares does not get into the weeds on those types of questions directly.A bigger question for @JeepCares is why do we still have an open recall after it was issued nearly a year ago and they still haven’t produced the replacement parts?
Yeah, I know that, but they really should be more transparent on things.JeepCares does not get into the weeds on those types of questions directly.
That’s the issue. There is a TSB but there’s no documented solution and the expected date of one keeps sliding further out.Well, it’s been a month and a day. Miss my Gladiator. Have had a Tacoma and now a 4Runner rental. Meh.
I‘m usually a pretty laid back guy but reading all these different post had me worried. With a Recall is there a TSB technical service bulletin that goes with it? I’d like to know all the steps Jeep will test, measure and repair/replace the HPFP to ensure their aren’t any other internal damages to be worried about Now and down the line.
Anyone know of one they can share?
It’s like a vehicle in an accident that was repaired. It’s never quite the same.
Does anyone have the TSB? I thought at one point the fix was to replace with the same fuel pump. I was wondering what the write up says about checking and changing the the oil, clean out the fuel tank and lines, and what ever else they need to do.That’s the issue. New injectors
New pump
New fuel rails
New fuel lines
New filter
This paperwork doesn’t show labor and parts cost. However, I did look at the dealer paperwork that showed their cost. Oh my.
I had them change the oil and filter while it was there( died on June 27th and received it back on August 3rd). They had my truck a total of 38 days.
I did receive the truck back with it still throwing a code. That code is most likely due to my AFE intake. I plan on uninstalling that intake tomorrow anyways as I have ordered the AEV dorkel. Hopefully, fingers crossed, reverting back to the stock intake will eliminate that last code. If it doesn’t, I’m sure the dealership will resolve it for me.
Overall, my dealership experience has been pretty good. My service advisor( Charles at Walnut Creek Jeep) was excellent and kept me in the loop for all the important developments. I would highly recommend him.
As for having the truck back, I am happy with it. it’s too early to tell if the performance has changed in anyway. I can only hope that they resolve the recall soon and that I don’t have to post anything about it otherwise from here on out.
This was posted in my build thread, but, I figured it was relevant to this thread as well.Ok, I’ve driven the truck all day for work and the check engine light came on after about 75 miles since picking it up from the dealership. The code being presented is the CCV code the intake has thrown before. I plan on swapping the AFE intake out tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully, it won’t return with the stock intake back on.
Thanks for the update @Anderson . I just got a text from my service manager saying the parts will be coming in this month. Curious though, are they just replacing with the same HPFP?Another update to my HPFP failure and replacement.

From what my service advisor tells me, the replacement parts to “fix” the CP4 failures are still not available. My new pump is still fallible. .Thanks for the update @Anderson . ? Well at least you can still enjoy your truck this summer. Keep us posted on any performance differences and fuel mileage. From what my service advisor tells me, the replacement parts to “fix” the CP4 failures are still not available. My new pump is still fallible. .
