I had an expensive item shipped to me by mistake. I called the company but they were clueless and wanted to give me an RMA number. I kept the item for a couple years and finally sold it for like 400 on eBay.

Moral of this story, just at least try and do the right thing.

I ordered 4 tires once. I received 3 tires and a reprinted label on the 4th with some $1,300 rotisserie grill. I called the original shipper, they sent a 4th tire and said to keep the grill. I called UPS they said they have insurance for things like this. I think it was in the garage for like 2 years before I finally let the neighbor have it.

Yep… I’ve also had stuff ship and never arrive from eBay. Was it stolen? Was it never shipped, lost in transit? Who knows. You win some you lose some and sometimes you get 18 winches in the mail after paying for one.

My brother ordered a 3d printer. The shipper never separated the two printers from the shrink wrap from the way they were shipped to them. $1200 score for my brother. I shamed him into calling them about the error. They apologized for the error and told him to do what ever he wants with it. My brother was bold enough to ask about the one year warranty. They told him he will need a receipt for the one year warranty but the other will be warrantied from date of manufacturing. They did not care!

12 winches will be a big loss. A Warn sponsor probably saw this thread and had the shipment returned.
