The electrical Gremlins are real.
The term gremlin just indicates that someone doesn’t know how to troubleshoot an electrical issue. So they label it a gremlin as if it’s just the way it is. Every symptom has a cause. Gremlins are excuses for people that don’t care to take the time to figure things out.

Too often, the cause is simple - finding it can be tough if not electrically inclined.
I've made good money on "electric gremlins" that ended up being simple connections and so on.
Yeah, I do have to scratch my head now and then, get out a wiring diagram, and maybe even learn something new in the process, but never give up.

Had two times we had Jeep with the MIL - and it was only on occasion. That was the weird hot start misfire issue easily corrected via a CCDIFF relearn command or the CANbus thing - corrected with a reset of the connectors - and that never set the MIL for long. It went right off.
I guess there was a third time - MY FAULT totally. Filled my wife's JLU - putting the cap back on I got the plastic cap cord in the threads and didn't get a good seal. That thing did ding up a fuel system evaporative emissions error. Simple fix - push the dash button to release the fuel filler door, unscrew the cap, put it back on making sure the little cord wasn't in the threads again - issue went away.
Can't blame Jeep for that one - it was on ME 100%.

Technically it actually does
refer to a mischievous little creature responsible for the malfunctions and unexpected mishaps with equipment…..

Everyone is getting butthurt. It’s common knowledge that probably at least half of the jeeps on the road right now have a check engine light constantly. I love jeeps and have several in the driveway and owned numerous others. I’ve also owned many Toyotas in the past as a backup.
I think you proved his point... multiple Jeeps that you drive around with the check engine light on but we are supposed to believe you maintain them? None of ours get driven around with check engine lights on. It's there to tell you you need to address something. Fix your junk when the idiot light comes on or don't complain when you get stranded?

Is it really thousands? I've been told for the last 6 years the sun visor is a ticking time bomb and they all break eventually. The wife has daily driven a Jeep that entire time east in the am and west in the pm. Visor used pretty much every day multiple times... and no failures? Don't do pull ups on it and it's fine. We have 2 3.6Ls in the driveway with ~75k miles between them... and 0 ticks. They get driven hard, which some theorize helps. I'm not saying you're guaranteed to never have problems, but I'm pretty sure Toyota has swapped more engines in new tundras than 3.6s that needed cams. If course anything can fall.
If its anything like my experience in a parts supplied field, most of those orders are likely a requisition for either local warehouse or even dealership safety stock to ensure they have them available for customers. Parts not actually ordered for immediate repairs.

If it were for service orders that were for vehicles currently out of service waiting for parts, and none were for restock, that'd still account for a meager <1% of the vehicles produced. Thousands always seems to sound extravagant out of context.

Lets talk about some real issues that will effect us all, like the saggy flaps that are down below.

My door nets are no so good...

From the person being combative? I’m here helping the op make an informed decision. You’re trolling. I’m not angry in the least. It’s funny. But your statements about half the jeeps having engine problems are just flat wrong. And it doesn’t help the op make an informed decision. Jeeps are not for everyone because they’re a specific type of vehicle. But that’s not because they’re unreliable. They’re quite advanced and solid. Your Toyota however…
you all started being combative with me and very defensive. It was actually a joke and you all started throwing accusations at me and making the wrong assumptions about me. I always maintain my vehicles per manufacturer’s specs or beyond, but I don’t need to prove that to you. As I said before I have owned and currently own multiple Jeeps And Toyotas at the same time. My Toyotas at 150k miles vs my Jeeps at 150k were much more reliable and trouble free. I’ll always own jeeps and I’ll always own Toyotas. I love them both, but that’s just me.

Before someone else says it, you used them wrong. 😆
Mine were always fine - maybe because I only ever put nothing in them?
How are you supposed to use them? What are they for?
Maybe road maps of Alaska.

Oh, and I wasn’t kidding about OP keeping the ‘08 Tundra and getting a Gladiator. That Tundra is a great truck. Use it when you don’t want to beat up the Gladiator so much doing truck stuff.

The Gladiator IS a truck. that's why I bought it - because I wanted a truck that was smaller than my big Chevy was.

It gets used as a truck, for truck stuff.
why own a truck if you aren't going to need or use a truck? Buy a Wrangler, instead.
These are trucks.

You're literally the only one on here acting butt hurt or defensive. You stated every Jeep you've ever owned has left you stranded, and also that 50% of Jeeps get driven around daily with the check engine light on. It's only logical to assume that at least 50% of your Jeeps get driven around without addressing glaring issues (like a shining light telling you they need maintenance or repairs). Maybe you'd have a better track record of not getting stranded if you addressed any issues when they arise instead of driving around with the light on? Call it what you want but that disproves any statements you make about maintenance. The light shouldn't be on unless there's a problem. 99% of the time that problem has an easy solution. Take care of your vehicles and they'll take better care of you.
