The term gremlin just indicates that someone doesn’t know how to troubleshoot an electrical issue. So they label it a gremlin as if it’s just the way it is. Every symptom has a cause. Gremlins are excuses for people that don’t care to take the time to figure things out.
I am definitely the type of "...people that don’t care to take the time to figure things out" especially when it comes to electrical gremlins. Seriously though for me personally, electrical stuff has always frustrated me and I would rather pay someone to figure it out if the problem is harder than my little brain can comprehend.

Before someone else says it, you used them wrong. 😆
Its a circumference issue, big things stretched it out and now it's loose all the time.

Seriously though, i heard about it and I've probably had a water bottle in there maybe 5 times and although it's not ruined, it's clearly already losing elasticity. They're not great.

The Gladiator IS a truck. that's why I bought it - because I wanted a truck that was smaller than my big Chevy was.

It gets used as a truck, for truck stuff.
why own a truck if you aren't going to need or use a truck? Buy a Wrangler, instead.
These are trucks.

Did you read the last sentence? Maybe you don’t mind beating it up. If you have a beater to use then use that rather than beat up your $60k Jeep. Those were my thoughts. I don’t have a beater truck so yeah I’m like you. I have to use my Gladiator for truck stuff and fun stuff. I’d rather beat it up in the woods or camping rather than work stuff.

Forget counting ducks. I’m going to interview all the Jeep owners I come across to see if they have cels. I need data to confirm this important new statistic. I’m running out the door immediately to start my research! Stand by for results! News at 5!
Hopefully the Jeep starts.

That's not beating it up. It's using it as intended.
I had a 2020 and a 2022. Both were traded in and both got a pretty fair amount allowed because, as the sales guy said "they had been taken really good care of".
They were sold as certified used vehicles and cleaned up very nicely. Neither one needed any touch-ups.

There were no marks or dings or dents. Yes, the bed liner needed to be washed, but there wasn't any damage or paint missing.
You can use things as a truck and still not abuse - use not abuse.

So you take it through the woods - and camping, and that's easier on them? Really?
Isn't that harder on the tires, steering and suspension and more likely to get pin stripes on it?

They are trucks - the back half is Ram truck suspension, the front half is Wrangler - they are made to take a beating.
I bet people who use them off-road are a whole lot harder on them than I am.
But - I can still take mine off-road any time and not worry about it. (I'm more likely to damage it that way, but it's a Jeep, not a Mercedes or a concours restored classic show car.

Then go buy a Ford they leave the assembly line as junk and you won't hurt anything by beating them up cause resale value on those ain't worth a crap.

I bought a ‘20 F150 and a ‘21 Gladiator 8 months apart. Paid the same for both and sticker prices were very close. Kind of hard to believe, but the 1 year older F150 is worth more.

Kind of hard to believe, but on the other hand, used pickups that are actually full sized trucks sell extremely well in some areas. I've seen 10 year old trucks in good shape sell for amazing amounts. in 2019, my 2011 Silverado sold on a dealer lot for not a lot less than I paid for it in 2011
In Iowa, trucks sell like crazy - dealers can't keep used trucks around very long. Farmers, construction people, big demand.
Jeep JT doesn't fit into those needs really well.

I've never seen an F150 listed at $12-20k off msrp, which is what we saw with the gladiators recently. Even back in 2021 you could easily order 1 at 5-7% below invoice. And yet on this forum we act like kbb, dealers, and the used market in general should base everything off MSRP not on actual average sale prices.

Yeah but I’m not doing “work” stuff with it. I’m doing fun stuff as intended.

Title says it all.
I’m married, 52 years old with 2 kids ages 21 and 23.
I drive 10 miles round trip to work and my hunting lease is about 15 miles round trip.
I currently have a 2008 Tundra.
Your thoughts?
Is the Gladiator Rubicon the smoothest rides out of the Gladiators? I’m leaning towards that one for the little bit of towing I do.

A buddy of mine told me about headliners you can buy for the Gladiator that will act as insulation to help with the noise and the temperature. Anyone have experience with any or suggestions?

Who is trying to base everything off MSRP?

2024 and later are a LOT quieter than earlier years.
Hot heads headliners - yes to both heat and sound deadening.
Mine is a 25 with the MOPAR headliner and it's really quiet and does a good job.
But some prefer the hotheads headliners - no direct experience other than observing their comments.
The 24 and 25 X packages come with the MOPAR headliner standard.

I'm doing hobby and homeowner stuff. Some might call it work, I guess.

And a lot of fun stuff -
