Okay, airing back up after a recent adventure, I learned that my friend's JT Willy's will automatically honk the horn when the tires reach the desired PSI. This would be great, so my wife and I can stop yelling at each other when I don't hear her say stop from inside the cab. Online, I have seen this referred to as a selectable tire fill alert , so how do I set it up? I don't see anything in settings or under the off-road pages. (For reference, I have a 2022 JT Rubicon gasser with a Tazer mini).

Not available since around 2021 sometime.
They had to change the TPMS sensors and receiver system a couple of years back so that's no longer there.

@chaosjake - You're really not missing much. It's more trouble than it's worth imo and I've used it on my 2020 JTR quite a few times. Sometimes one or more TPMS sensors don't update so it never alerts you or you overfill beyond your desired tire pressure. It's ballpark at best when it works and if you're a stickler for making sure your tires are at the correct pressure after a day of off-roading and you're headed home best to just do it manually.

There is a compressor out there that isn't too expensive that offers built in pressure monitoring and a shut off option. I am forgetting the name of it but the YouTube channel Ozark Overland reviewed it if I remember right.

I don't use it anyway so never mattered to me. I'm the sort who would use a gauge, or a compressor with a set psi.

For your Tazer, ENGINE ON, go through settings to "TireFill?" Once activated, your turn signal will blink slow to say you are low to your desired pressure, and will blink fast if you pass it. Light will illuminate solid when you're spot on.

I like to use the tpms to get close. Usually, by the time my wife yells at me to stop, we're a psi or two high, anyway. Then I use my arb deflater to get back down to my target.

My friend's JTW is a 2020, so I guess that makes sense. I don't have to like it.

That's basically our experience, except my wife has to be watching the dash instead of giving me helpful beeps.

Mine doesn’t have it, I halfway looked. It sounds like a cool feature, but like everything else, just a guesstimate.

My June 2021 with the new sensors has it though you have to enable it each time through the settings. (7" screen and it shows under apps.) I use it when airing down and never have an issue. I always double check it with a gauge as well. Airing up though my Craftsman compressor from Lowes has a auto shut off feature so let that run instead.

I have a ‘21 JTR and I really like this option. I live in the mountains and air down frequently, and find this very helpful. First you need to activate it each time. You go into settings, scroll down once to “safety” or something like that, press it, then select “tire fill assist”, then open up the Apps screen, scroll over to tire fill assist, it is now active (no longer grayed out), select your PSI and start airing up. The flashers will start blinking when it detects the air pressure rising and it honks when the tire reaches the set PSI.

I've used this before.. but, anymore, I just prefer to use my Kobalt compressor. Set the pressure gauge to 3lbs over my desired fill, and let it go.

(3lbs, because as soon as the thing starts running, it always goes up 3lbs, and when the compressor turns off, it drops 3lbs.. lol)

Gauge indicates I'm always within 1lb of where I need to be.. then I just do quick deflates to even it out if needed. (Cold weather sometimes means the tires on the sunny side are different psi than the non sunny side. ;)
