I just picked my JT up a few weeks ago and it is still not available. Alot of guys are going with the Curt, but i think I'm going to use the Redarc Tow Pro. A few guys have installed this in the power port location where the picture of the factory one is. In reality if you wanted to remove it after you could go back to factory.

The Curt is nice but requires you to drill a hole when mounting it -

For the price difference I'd like the fit of the Redarc myself
This guy mounted his Curtis where the 12v socket is and didn’t have to drill a hole.

I figured it out. It was wired correctly but if you have the distance keeping cruise control the brake switch isn't quite as simple as other vehicles. The 3014-p pigtail works fine as long as you don't squeeze the manual level on the brake controller. This is because it sends 12v up the brake lead in an effort to signal the brake lights. The 3024-P has a diode on the brake line to keep voltage from being sent upstream. You just need to switch two of the wires on the 3024 so that it has the same pinout as the JT or JL. That doesn't solve the no brake light issue when manually articulating the brake controller, but since that is only done while testing or emergencies it should be fine for most people. The diode just keeps the warning lights from triggering. You can also just live with the warning lights while setting up your controller and then restart the truck to clear them.
The 3014-P is only an issue if you hit the brakes with no trailer attached. Then you have to shut off and restart to clear the dash, otherwise with a trailer hooked up it works fine, at least for me.

The Curt does not require drilling, that is an option. The control knob can be surface mounted with double sided tape. I put mine on the console in front of the t-case shifter. It’s a good location for me within fingertip reach for a quick tap if needed while towing. I was considering the Redarc, but the surface mount option on the Curt was the deciding factor.

The link below has some bad phone pics of the install along with my floor mats and phone mount mods I did that day.

What did you do TO your Gladiator today?

Nothing against the Redarc at all, but it does need some kind of hole for the backside electronics of the knob.

UPDATE! Couldn’t get the 3014-s connector to work. The 3014-p works although i get an error when i hit the manual brake lever on the controller. Clears when you the turn the Jeep off.

For those who already have a controller or a different brand than one that it plug and play, I think this is the pigtail you need for a gladiator to avoid cutting and splicing on the Jeep side. Will confirm once it arrives and it works!
