Did you have to unbolt and drop down the exhaust cross over or where you able to manipulate it in?
You have to unbolt the cross over at the junctions on either side of the pan and loosen it a bit. You don't have to take it apart. If you have a diesel the exhaust runs along the side of the pan and don't have to touch the exhaust.

Go on PPE's website and start a chat. Give them your VIN and they will tell you the exact part number you need.
I was wondering about that ZF pan

For anyone who has done this, how many quarts of new ATF should I have on hand when I go to install the PPE 850RE pan with the exhaust crossover clearance cutout for the 3.6L?

Is six enough? Or should I get more than that?

Another question…
can you reuse the same bolts and what is the torque setting for them?

I believe the ppe pan is thicker and comes with longer bolts to accommodate the thicker flange.

I used about 5.50-5.75 quarts.

I installed the PPE trans pan on my 2020 JT 3.6. Did not notice and temp difference. Even put aluminum heat shed on exhaust crossover. Im gonna weld a drain plug in my stock trans pan and put it back on.

What do you plan to do with the PPE? Are you going to sell it? PM me if you are. I might be interested. Then again, crafting a drain plug into the stock pan sounds like a good idea, too. Please post up the details and photos when you do it.

I put one on and the engine pan also. Added a little over a qt of fluid to capacity. With the 2 in place and a vent trim on the rubicon hood i do notice the jeep runs cooler on long 4W low range climbs.
I did wrap the exhaust adjacent to the pan. Its easy to drain with nice magnet plug and i really like mounting an aluminum case the another aluninum case for sealing reasons.

Yes this is what I wished was on the steel pans a bung. This would greatly reduce the aggravated process . Additionally once you go to the aluminum ya have to consider possible trail breakage .. you're screwed . Unless you bring you metal one with you and 5.5 quarts of fluid .

I just installed this today. Noticed the gaskets available online are all the rubber kind. The OEM one has a metal plate with the gasket on it so I reused my original gasket.

Looking online I see this on Amazon. Is this something we can use?

@RustyPW or @Hootbro mentioned that the trans filter is a Filtrans filter. Order a filtrans
