If that's the way it is, wouldn't we all have the same problem? But there are many where the HVAC system works as intended.
They probably don't want to fix it.

FCA quality assurance is so crappy they can't even recreate the same problems consistently across all vehicles

Feel free to search the Wrangler and Gladiator forums; there are plenty of posts on this issue. It is well known.

It took FCA 4 model years to figure out something was wrong with JL's steering and come up with a fix. The HVAC issue must be way down their list.

4WD Auto on the RAM works fantastic on snow, ice, rain covered roads etc. The heater is a proper heater, not a enigma wrapped in a mystery like the Gladiatior. 20mpg is much better than what I get in the Jeep and the power put our by the RAM annihilates the Jeep.

All that, plus nobody waves at you in a random ass RAM pickup. ha
So, you don't want people to wave at you, or to feel like you belong to a group? Ok. Enjoy the RAM.

Not gonna lie...I still look at rams a LOT and wonder what could have been. But im content with the jt as my daily. My only real regret Is that i had to pull the trigger before the diesels came out. Best of luck!

Same here. I think about it EVERY day. Two days ago I went to every DCJR website in State checking inventory and I was only looking for one thing.

Sure wish I could swing for say... A loaded JTWD....Sgt Green.

I've read the posts on here. If it was an issue for me, I'd be at my dealership getting it fixed under warranty.

Before you purchased your gasser, did you know the diesel was coming out?

To be honest, I knew the rumor was out. But I also knew I had already waited like 8 years for the rumored JT to come out.

At the time I needed a truck, my Canyon diesel torque converter was about to go out and I was a lucky one with mine, I made 109k miles in 3 years before it reared its ugly head. I knew two others with the diesel that was going through TC's around ever 20k or so.

Liquor Attorney. So not all bad...
Cyber truck doesn’t have a motor for each wheel... rwd has one motor. You can then get the 49k version that has two motors... then the awd has 3 motors, not 4.
OK. I admit I don't know all the details on the Cybertruck. Thank you. "Edit - sorry I sound like a dick. I just meant you are correct. I read something about a e-truck with motors in every wheel and though "cool that solves diff lockers" and put that memory on Cybertruck. Maybe it was a different truck. Anyway - I appreciate you pointing out my factual error. Thank you"

It’s all good, maybe in the initial planning there was supposed to be 4 motors...?

yea, but I got my JTMT in late 2019. So it was a while before the diesels would land. I was at a point with my JKU that I was going to have to dump $4,000+ into repairs..or just trade it in with 109k miles...the dealer gave me $16,000 for it so I jumped at the offer and just made the buy. As it is now Im waiting to build a little more equity in my JTMT and I'll pull the trigger on a 2022/2023 JT diesel down the road a bit.

Cybertruck. Never have to shift in to AWD again- there are motors in each wheel. And the heat from the batteries catching fire is handy.

But seriously - to the OP - you do you . I think you kind of invited a bit of trolling on yourself but I respect that everyone has different needs. I live in flatland with a lot of snow - shifting into 4H at highway speeds (up to about 50ish) works fine for me - love that I don't have to be in neutral (I have the 6MT) - just let off the gas a bit. Now- when I replace my wife's Volvo XC90 with a JLUR auto I'll get her the selctrac transmission with 4H auto option and she'll also be getting a diesel because she does a lot of hiway driving (she's a realtor and lists properties all over western metro Twin Cities).
Putting the wife in an oil burner, NICE.

The Cyber Truck is just vaporware at this point. It will be at least a couple years before they are even close to having a production-ready product. And there is no telling how it will compare to data being posted about it now. The Rivian & the Hummer EV trucks are the closest to production.

Trade the Rubicon in on a Sport S or Overland with the Selec-Trac transfer case, and some reasonable all-terrain tires. If you're not into serious wheeling, you don't need all the Rubicon features.
I had my Sport S (without Selec-Trac) over passes west & east of here several times this past winter, and didn't have any issues at all with handling (once I ditched the A/S tires,) and up into Saskatchewan with -20ÂşF temps, and no heater problems.

Whatever.
Good luck.

Kevin
The transfer case isn't that expensive, probably lose more on trade in than just swapping the case. I don't know if this is the actual one, says command trac, but it's $750.

Not the thread I pictured myself posting when I picked up the car from the dealer in August 2020, but here I am.

I bought the wrong rig, thats it. My sting gray Rubi is an excellent vehicle. Decent driving on city streets, easy to commute in, handled road trips well. Reliable, fun, simple etc.

The catch, I travel up and down mountain passes 30 times a year. Shifting this thing in and out of 4H when the roads go from snow covered to clear and wet is silly. The truck handles poorly at highway speeds in 4H. The heater is atrocious to deal with. Fuel mileage is unbelievably bad for a V6, though I don't drive enough to really care about mpg.

Will be looking at selling this thing and grabbing a RAM 2500. Maybe test drive a TRX just for S&Gs.

Have only respect for this forum and Jeep folks altogether. Wish I could find a way to appreciate the Gladiator as much as it deserves.

I definitely wont miss waving at people 20-30 on my trip to the grocery store here in Issaquah. Too many jeep owners here. Yeesh! :)
I agree with you on the waving. Where I live there are so many Jeeps and i drive over a 100 miles a day and it does get old waving. I also think a ram would make a better daily driver as well. The road noise in the Jeep is terrible
