Open carry of rifles is legal in most states. If I want to stand in my front yard with an AR that's perfectly fine. If I'm not pointing it at you or threatening you it's not brandishing. Being popular and owning firearms isn't a crime. "Fits the description" isn't a crime. Calm down and leave the neighbors alone Karen. There's a reason why the police won't do anything because the neighbors are free to do everytime you describe and none of it is a crime. It's called freedom.

You have no idea. But we get it, you support criminals, you stand with DEI, you want illegal immigration, and you're probably a part of the "alphabet" club, etc.

I support freedom even if YOU think it's suspicious. I support judging people on their merits. I support legal immigration, and the wife of 25 years will be the only judge of my "gender" or whatever you children study about and I'm pretty sure she's happy with it. Off to the mall I go.

Impatient people do stupid things, and lots of them have anger management issues.

Last week while heading towards Ely NV to go camping, I had a guy driving an RV come up behind me fairly quickly and close. Now I’m going the speed limit +5, so it’s not like I was dragging my tail. Dude gets impatient and decides he has to pass me, like NOW! Half way through his pass, the dotted line becomes solid.

I back off my speed to allow him to pass easier, as he’s obviously determined to get around me, no matter what. That’s when an oncoming car appeared up the crest. I hit the brakes hard (aware of pickup that's now behind me) and moved to the limited shoulder in anticipation of a crash. Fortunately, they didn’t hit head on, but man it was close. I have no idea how they didn't. Once it was clear, the pickup what was with him passed me as well.

The most ironic thing happened. They ended up getting stuck behind another RV on the winding roads leading into Ely, where they couldn’t pass. So for the last 10 miles into Ely I was right behind them, including pulling into the Ely Love’s Truck stop. Mind you, I pulled up to the farthest pump from them, as I wasn’t interested in their bullshit.

Unfortunately, where I live giving the police plates don't do anything at all. I don't know if the newer generation of law enforcement here is lazy or just plain incompetent. My neighbors, who hits every mark of "shadiness" if you know what I mean (multiple vehicles coming at all times of the day, being loud and obnoxious, not caring for anyone else in the culdesac, blocking people's driveways, etc.) walk outside brandishing what looks to be assault rifles, so I send the photos to PD and all they say is, "since they weren't pointing it at anyone and because we can't tell whether it's air soft or real, there's nothing we can do" and left it at that. No welfare check, no nothing Sadly cops here become cops for the power and not to protect.

Sounds like a place to move away from.

Damn….sounds like you need to move to a better area.

On the other cheek….. Police can’t be everywhere. Unfortunately, they have higher priorities to deal with and there’s not enough of them to go around.

Agreed….. You gotta have a swivel on your head and see it coming, make some predictions of your own, and plan accordingly. Nobody is gonna protect yourself but YOU yourself.

Probably 45% of them would say “well heck yeah I’ll stand my ground!” on Saturday then scream AMEN! On Sunday when the preacher talks about turning the other cheek or enduring persecution.

Then 45% would call that 45% stupid for going to church.

Then the remaining 10% wouldn’t know any of it’s going on because the bunny ears in their homemade bunker stopped picking up stations back in ‘09 and they’ve thought the world ended and haven’t emerged.
