By this logic, bad people are bad before they commit their first bad act. Therefore all people are bad (or about to be bad).
That makes zero sense.
Why would that be?
Bad are bad - there are usually signs.
Why would all people be bad based on that? There's no logic to it at all.

Kind of sounds like the logic a certain 🍊🤡 uses to deploy the national guard. 🤣
Not at all. Bad people do bad things.

That's what they do. I choose to not let them harm me.

You do you.

I think there are a certain group of people who just do that as a natural part of their life.

I don't understand them because their logic fails at the first test.

It is more of a social commentary thread that got started rather than a technical one. Those tend to tend to get off topic rather quick.
You know almost every thread here goes off topic at times.

You can talk about which side of the fence you are on. Until you are put in a situation where you have to defend yourself for your life. You will wish you had a firearm. I have a bullet hole in my back from 1978 that reminds me every day.

I'm all for debating, but there are undeniable facts. We could go the way of the UK. Ban guns... knife attacks through the roof. Now they are jailing people for having a corkscrew in public? Not attacking or threatening anyone, just the mere possession. Jailing people for posting anything they disagree with. No free speech and no way they'll ever get it back. The idea that taking pictures and calling the police will protect you from a real threat is lunacy but you do you.
The reason the pilgrim's left the police state for a land of the free.

I miss the way this forum was 4 years ago.
Back when we had threads with memes or a thread about a Jeep that became about nothing but jokes and had to be renamed?

I’m aware it makes zero sense. Neither does the statement “bad people are bad all the time”. That was my point.

The inability for so many gun owners to realize that the “good guy with a gun” is usually who turned into the “bad guy with a gun” is why gun deaths and injuries will continue to rise in this country.

And yes, I’m aware that mass shooters do not fit this mold. They are a small fraction of the perpetrators.

Your statement is an automatic fail. Bad guys, start as bad children. It's not sudden. When I was in grade school there were the dudes who you knew were trouble.

And lo and behold they all ended up either dead from drug deals gone bad, or in prison.

It's not hard to figure them out. There are 600,000 KNOWN gang members in Chicago. They stopped being good at 10.

Guess what, they can't have guns legally at that age, but they have them anyway.

Your logic is silly, and not based in reality.

The bullies and "rotten kids" in grade school and middle school ended up in jail or dead. They were bad from the word go.
People can end up doing bad things - but if you can't tell them from the rest, then you ain't looking, IMO.

Exactly. The claim that all bad guys start as good guys is patently ridiculous. Bad guys are born that way. Some get rescued by great people, but most follow a similar path. The overwhelming majority aren't violent. But the 10% that is, is now incredibly violent. Study after study shows this to be true.

You missed the myth busters episode on bringing a knife to a gun fight. If your gun is holstered, the guy with the knife wins.
They didn't use a boomstick.........
