My 1999 Isuzu vehicross had this. It was a borg-warner transfer case. Basically gave me a hydraulic proportional awd system. But, I could shift transfer case to a chain drive 4 low. Cons of that setup was no 2 hi option. I bought some manual front hubs and away I went in effectively 2 hi. I needed the 2 hi because I added an aussie front locker. I do wish they offered the select track with the diesel engine :(

Not trying to be a d**K, but this is one of those times it would have paid to research and ask questions. Selec-Trac is nothing new. It has been around since 1983.

You are not obligated to buy an ordered vehicle. Tell them the situation and maybe they will let you order another and use your first order as stock. If not go to another dealer and place the order.

Update the dealer finally called me back only took weeks.. And now with the price increases a new order w/ select trac costs 2000.00 more. Killing me.
If $2000 is killing you, good luck buying anything for your Jeep.

It’s done perfect as is. no need to prematurely wear out drivelines, have crappy handling, feel etc and then reduce resale etc..
definitely destroyed enough Jeeps that way. Takes getting a lil older to learn what not to do

I chose my Mojave for similar reasons. I wanted some extra height and 33's while keeping the great ride and handling. Resale always has to be considered when making an expensive purchase such as this. Rubicon's and Mojave's will always move quicker on dealer lots than the other trims. Yes, they cost more but it is all relative in the end.

Maybe concentrating on a 2022 model that is already on the ground is going to be the best way to avoid the price increases on the 2023's. A quick search on the Jeep website shows 15 Mojave's with Selec-Trac within 100 miles of your profile location. Not sure if they fall into your other option choices though. :)

ok you guys now have me confused... checked my build sheets for both the wifes 21 JTF (nacho) and my 22 JTA (gobi) and they both say they have
"Command-Trac Part Time 4WD System"
nothing about either full time or selec-trac ....
