We popped the doors off for the first time and I took my daughter around the country mile. She always loved riding in the JL with the top off, and she loves the JT too! Then I let her “drive” to our campsite in the driveway. I’m so happy she likes Jeeps!

Drove it.

Took it to Reno and back then went through a short trail that turned out to be blocked by trees spend an hour clearing it and going a mile the rubicon rails proved worth every penny day 1.

Gladys and I got seriously stuck today dropping off 2 cans of leaves/grass at my friend's land.....Luckily they have a tractor that pulled us right out. We practiced social unstucking.
Looks like I need to invest in a winch and those maxtrax, lol.

Love the flag decal. I need one of those while I'm stuck behind enemy lines here...

LMAO, i looked at your detail info and see you have a TR6. My parent's have had 4 Triumph Spitfires, still have 1 of them. Took my HS sweetheart to the prom in it.

Anyways, as i was thinking this, it also reminded me of a funny story. When i was a freshman in college at UW Madison, i was at a party at UW Milwaukee playing beer pong and some drunk girl was like, "OH MY GOD, You go to Madison? Do you know Jennifer Bucholtz........I literally laughed out loud because there are like 50,000 students at UW Madison and NO FREAKING WAY I KNOW this one random person this girl knew.

So.....I feel like that girl now. "YOU HAVE A TRIUMPH? MY PARENTS HAVE A TRIUMPH!" very silly :CWL::CWL: (i blame being stuck at home for 2 weeks).:crying:

I still have my TR6. I had to restore it all through high school and took it to college one time just to turn around and bring it back because it was going to snow and I didn’t want snow on the top. Never drove it again. Still sitting in my parents’ carport.

With social distancing up here in Vancouver, BC we decided to go for a drive just before Squamish on the Mamquam forest service road. As we were driving we were passed by two ambulances and a fire department pickup truck. So what’s does a former firefighter do? We decided to follow of course!

As it turned out after speaking with one of the paramedics there was supposedly a motor vehicle accident which I presume involved two vehicles. The two ambulances stayed at the 16km mark while the fire service vehicle continued on which was now accompanied by an RCMP pickup truck. At about the 22km mark after passing a tree falling area and hitting the snow line 660 meters up they decided there was no motor vehicle accident to be found.

We continued on for a bit more then decided that going up solo without a winch may be a problem, so we decided to turn around.

So maintaining social distancing while with loved ones was a blast today!

Started to put a 12v power plug in the bed. I didn’t go with the bed power option. Bought the plug off of amazon as others have. Marine grade therefore waterproof, however, I’m still going to seal the plate to the bed with some silicone. Also smoothed our and painted.

cutting: had to dremel out a good bit to make the plate fit. The actual template of the bed plug that comes with the truck is good to just trace out and cut from there. That will provide enough space for the flanges on the back side of each plug to fit without having to go back and make a series of cuts.

I do have the Aux switches so should be pretty easy to tap into.

here’s a few pics so far.

Swapped out the stock steering stabilizer for a Fox one today. Took about 3 minutes total. Gave my new cordless impact gun. So much easier than air tools!

I did the same thing today. Super easy swap once I realized that I needed to flip it the opposite orientation then the stock one. Pretty straightforward since it only fits that way. I haven’t driven it at interstate speed yet, but the steering already feels way more precise and better weighted.
