Hit Poison Spider today and had an absolute blast. Favorite trail of all time. Broke both rear sway bar link frame mounts so I’ll have to take it easy on the 11 hour drive home. Did Hells Revenge and Fins n Things yesterday. Had plans of Top of the World tomorrow but we’re just beat up and need a day off.

I have a plethora of tools in the truck right now. Yesterday knocked the rear track bar loose and one end link mount was starting to fail. Tightened everything up and today finished off both end link mounts. Not much can be done with that. Those stock mounts are as thick as a soda can lol

yes they are. I didn’t wait for mine to break before adding the reinforcement brackets and saw how easily they can break under pressure in the wrong direction.

Here in Boston, the city hangs flags on the main streets in a lot of neighborhoods in the spring, but time and weather take a toll, and a lot of them are looking rough by the end of summer. Anyway, on the way home from getting groceries today, I noticed that the top ferrule had failed on one of the flags in my hood, so it looked like it was hanging upside down. After putting away the groceries, I went back out with some tools and zip ties and fixed all the flags on the main street that were hanging cockeyed, using the bed of the JTR as an expedient work platform.

Back out on the trail, this time in Tillamook State Forest for Firebreak #5 and Cedar Tree #13.

I also had some goober asking where my tent was. Apparently he was upset I was camping with only a hammock.

Took a 700 mile drive to pick up a part I needed. Stopped at the top of Carson Pass for a snack.

The view is pretty spectacular!

Looks like you got some good weather. Those tree roots on the trail are slippery enough without rain.
I did those two in late April. We had great weather. Sunny and about 75 degrees. We were able to keep the windows down the whole trip. A few days later it rained cats and dogs for the rest of the time we were in the valley.
