What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

Super nice to be able to do. Why not weld 2” of sheet metal to each side of your blade to widen it? Tacked 18 gauge?

Or bolt some replaceable UHMW on to each side? 1/4” should have enough flex.

Not today, but yesterday, loaded the three pieces of an IKEA couch in the bed, cushions and blankets and such in the back, and hauled it the 30ish miles to one of the nieces to give to them.

I could FEEL the difference in the ride, almost felt like I was leaning back a bit in the seat!

But she handled like normal.

The family went to Helen Ga for Thanksgiving. The cabin we stayed in was 3 miles up this trails. I volunteered to run all errands.

Forgot to take pics while I was all dressed for the cold, so these are through windows. Doesn't show the extent or depth, especially on my neighbor's drive I use to get back to my shop - that baby was DEEP.

PS - I had to have the driveway cleared as a neighbor is going to come over and give the meds to poor Pickle twice a day and my wife may drive back and forth from the Iowa City Hospital to home to check on Pickle and stuff - so it could mean 6 trips to and from Iowa City over the next 3 days.
I can't stand the thought of "what if something happens to Pickle when I'm there in the hospital - no one to run him to the emergency vet service.
Ugh, wish I could put off my own surgery so I can take care of Pickle. I'll be really pissed if I'm laid up over there and anything goes south with him.

Probably years. But I’ll definitely post progress of the engine build. Not gladiator, but it is technically a JT. The original. It’s going into a 61 Willys Pickup.

I got it in the garage far enough today to get the gladiator in, barely. But it needs to move laterally another day. My goal was just to get it off the trailer and into the garage. Thanks to the warn pullzall and a scrap piece of UHMW, I was able to drag it far enough with a couple d rings I had bolted to the floor last month. I need at least one more to be able to reposition it. But I wanted that anyway. It’s on the list.

Lil'Sisters broken Kia Soul. And yeah she's learning the hard way why you don't buy Kia.

Crazy how well they tow, and even climbing over the ship channel bridge on Houston's 610 loop, trans temp hit 198f, on the flat, was 182f, like crazy.

Yeah, it will be a while. 160 acres, and the range itself goes out to a mile. But, all steel targets, so the infrastructure is sound.
