Went to buy a wire wheel and return a couple things, came home with a wire wheel, four bags of top soil, a bag of potting soil, a bag of peat moss, three large outdoor pots, a bag of bark, and some of that white stuff to help with soil drainage
Yep I’ve been in this situation myself. That perlite (white stuff) works wonders though. I use it liberally. It’s amazing how hard and compacted the sandy type soil can get. What are you planting?

Another range day yesterday at SLCFSA.

And, another JT pulls up beside me!!!

It had a tan colored LineX (or some other bedliner) over the entire truck.
Interesting how it looked. Looked good… I didn’t get a chance to talk to or meet him…..We were both busy blowing off some lead therapy.

Nice!! I want to do the same with mine in Monsta Liner. Probably in black or a similar color though.
We should’ve introduced ourselves and it wouldn’t have been so ‘creepy’ to take a close up up the coating. 🤪

Retired. Finally !!
There is a family in my neighborhood that are also Jeep obsessed. Father, mother and adult daughter all drive some variation of a Jeep, in constant rotation. I've never spoken to them, but my wife has on several occasion. In 2018 I bought a Renegade Latitude. They had a 2015 Latitude. In 2019, they had no Latitude. My wife said it was the daughters and she had nothing but trouble with it (they are troublesome for sure) and she sold it. Mom and Dad both drove Wranglers, Mom a 4-door, Dad a 2-door Rubicon all tricked out. In 2020 a brand new Gladiator showed up. Then it was gone for a few days. When it returned, it was coated in blue Line-X or some similar type of coating. My wife said it was the daughters, she didn't want to worry about washing, waxing or scratches. It struck me as odd, seeing that once very shiny vehicle now a dull rough-coated vehicle. Within weeks of ownership.

The Gladiator came and went for the next couple years, I thought the daughter finally moved out. After I bought mine this past November (and ditched my Renegade, worst vehicle EVER), I noticed the Gladiator was gone, replaced by a little Toyota car. Again, I asked my wife. She said the daughter was "done with Jeeps", she said both her Jeeps spent more time at the dealer getting problems fixed than she did driving it. She said the Gladiator had constant engine and tranny problems, beyond other things.

I said the daughter was an "early adopter", she bought the debut years of the Renegade AND the Gladiator. I said it was never good practice to buy the first year off the line, there are always teething problems. Both vehicles were examples of that.

She'll be happy with her little Toyota, they do make a reliable vehicle.

Anytime I see vehicles that are LineX'd (or other bedliner coatings).... It makes me wonder......
Do people think they never have to wash it? HTF do you wash it?

That's probably the perfect vehicle to take to those coin operated power washers with that nasty scrub brush. 😂 Who cares if it's got dirt and stones in the brush.... you don't need to buff it out. 🤣

There's no way you could use a regular car washing mit or foam washing pad... it'd take forever!!!

With our Power Wagon group. We had 2 guys who coated their PW's with LineX. Said that they didn't want to see scratches and small dents.

There’s different types of “bedliner” some of them spray on without all the stuff in them for a flatter finish. I personally would not want a textured finish for the reason you stated. Also that stuff inside the liner can break down and leave a pretty good mess. Gotta get wuality UV stable stuff.

I've have used LineX sprayed on to rockrails and the front bumper of my Power Wagon. Plus beds of 3 trucks. The LoD winch bumper for my JT was Rhino sprayed. The LineX is a smooth finish compared to the Rhino liner. The Rhino liner is like 00 sandpaper. Wish I could have found a place the did LineX. The 3 places I've used before have closed up shop.

Just find someone who can spray HVLP. This stuff is roll on or spray on. And they have tintable stuff.

And it's relatively smooth, kinda like orange peel. They have a ton of colors.
They will send you out a few 1inch square sample for free. Or 1 of every color for just a few dollars also.

I don't know.....that ad reminds me of the final back pages of my Spiderman comic from when I was a kid.... The opposite page would have an ad for "Live Sea Monkeys !!!"

p.s. yes, I did order Sea Monkeys as a kid...you got a packet somewhat the size of a packet of sugar, looked like sand inside. Pour it in a bowl of water, a little later....Sea Monkeys, live critters swimming around !! I refused to believe my Dad when he said they were brine shrimp.....

Yesterday I helped a friend tow his 1993 Kawasaki Vulcan and 2010 Kia Soul from their old place to their new place. Loaded up the Vulcan in the bed with the tailgate down, but to do that I had to drive up on blocks with the front to lower the tailgate height or the chassis would contact the tailgate and stop us. The bike wouldn't start so I used a couple ratchet straps to winch it into the bed.
- The rear of the JTW dropped about 2" after I loaded everything back in the bed (6 cinderblocks, toolbox, straps, and some other cargo. Definitely over payload as the Vulcan was about 700lbs alone.

Then hooked up the trailer and loaded the Soul onto it. MAN, do I need new springs! After I pulled the trailer stand up, the JTW dropped another 2-4" in the rear. The trailer jack (below the tongue) was maybe 3" off the ground, but luckily we were staying in town and below 35mph at most.

I forgot to get pics (yes I know shame shame), but man was it interesting to see. Good thing it was daylight out, or I'd get flashed like crazy with the amount of rear sag. My fog lights became my low beams.

For those losing their minds about "over loading", the transmission (manual) didn't skip a beat, the clutch never got hot or smelled, yes the 3.73 gearing was like driving a 70s truck with a 4 speed, no I didn't break anything, and no, the cops didn't bother me at all. Actually I got a couple waves. Just kept right and drove easy, you need to drive for the conditions as they say.

Made me wonder how it would have done with better gearing and stiffer progressive springs in the rear. The ride was much smoother than empty, but way slower haha.
