Yes. Sometimes on my videos I woll get a little rambling. But, if someone is telling me something I figure there might be someone out there that want to hear it. So, I decided not to edit a lot of the talking out in some videos. But I have had someone talking where they go off the deep end and I was like huh. Hahahaha!!!
By all means, more detail is better than less. With the option to speed it up or skip around it’s a non issue.

Good point. On some of the long videos, I put in the time where certain things are located. The older I get, the harder it is to learn. Hahaha! But, i'm getting there.

And I appreciate your service, my friend!

Not sure what you mean by "speedometer reading changed"......... if the speedometer is off it usually means the tire size setting is incorrect. If you've changed tire sizes, then you need to put in the new/corrected tire diameter and then the speedometer will read correctly. Jscan will do that.
My advice is use an independent GPS or a GPS app on a phone NOT plugged into the Jeep and drive several miles. Compare the odometer reading with how many miles and tenths of a mile the GPS app or GPS device says you've done. IF it's off, adjust the tire size setting in the truck again using jscan.
Mine is right-on. I used my Garmin GPS device and set it to new trip with 0 miles, I reset my JT's trip meter on the dash to 0 and used an app on my phone - that tracks how far you've driven.
I then drove a number of miles and when I got home I compared. After 2 tries my cluster/odometer matched my Garmin GPS and my phone app to the tenth of a mile.
I have a stock Sport with 4.10 gears and Dueler A/T tires. When I get clocked by roadside radar speed signs along the road, they read my speed as 1mph lower than what my speedometer indicates. Same with a Garmin GPS unit, it tells me I'm going 1mph lower than what my speedometer indicates.

I agree with you. I try to make the informative videos short. The wheeling videos can get a little long. But the informative I try to keep short. Like you, I'll also tune out afterwhile. I retired from the Army 3 months ago. My senior leaders would start talking and in the back of my mind i'm thinking, "what do you want me to do?"

I do appreciate you telling me that you like them short and sweet and to the point. I started this video with friends to show off offroading videos and it's turned into something else. So now I'm constantly trying to improve it. So, thank you!
First things first - thank you for your service.

When I worked IT and IT security for Principal Financial Group, I had a team leader who had been in the Marines. If you got past sentence 4 without making your point, he'd stop you cold and coldly say "and your point is" and your point had better be the next words out of your mouth. Loved that guy.

I'm going to have to check out some of your videos later this week.

When going to larger tires, is the only reason to changing the tire size in the computer to correct the speedo or is there more to it than that? Also, can you leave the adapter cables plugged in all the time? I’m thinking it’d be better for me to leave the bypass plugged in instead of buying extensions and just plug the adapter in and out when needed.

Just leave the extension in place. You need to remove the bypass cable.
But with the extensions it takes seconds, literally. It's very easy with 'em.
If you want to MONITOR, say you want to watch for misfires, read codes, NOT make changes, you can simply plug the Bluetooth OBD connector to the normal OBD port.
I reached out to Jscan and they said it was fine to leave the bypass cable plugged in all the time, just make sure the adapter is unplugged.

Yep, my bypass cable has been plugged in and wrapped up inside the dashboard. Never had any issues and the dealer didn't care. Made it easy for them to connect their system

My bypass and OBDLink MX+ have been plugged in for 6 months straight with no issues. Had them in for over a year straight on my 2020 Ram 2500 as well. No need to disconnect any of it unless you need to plug something else in to the port.

Switched over to LEDs, so reprogrammed for them. I know resistors usually solve the switch over issues, but as can be seen over in the 'Flush mounted tailights' thread that isn't always the case. Oh, and almost forgot, used to clear codes during my Livernois upgrade.

The dial speedometer on the right is almost always 2mph higher than actual speed. The digital display you can choose in the center is much closer.
I find it weird that the digital display is normally right on while the dial on the right is always wrong even with things set perfectly.

That cable makes it really easy for anyone to get into your system and screw things up - even take control if you didn't have your vehicle locked.

It's like leaving the key to the glovebox in the lock but worse.
Since it's so bloody easy to remove, especially with the extension cable, I won't risk or tempt fate.
I lock the truck when I get out - why leave the security bypassed?

I carry the bluetooth adapter with me so I can at any time read codes, etc. so if I came across an open Jeep with the bypass cable in place, think of the fun I could have.
I know - anyone with a cable can plug in and bypass things too - but that takes more time.

Security will work as far as door locks, etc. but the system the cable bypasses is a firewall that prevents "hacking" or system changes. With the cable in place, the firewall is bypassed.
Granted, the chances of anything happening, anyone getting to it are VERY slim, but with it so simple to remove and then put the cable back when needed, I never leave mine in place. It's not like you need access to things on a weekly basis! Not sure why leave it there is how I think of it. It's only needed when making system changes - so apparently some do that pretty much daily or every week?

My digital speed readout is what I go by.....yep, it's off by 1mph.
