Not to turn this into a "shipping" post, but, I'm in Maryland and surprisingly the Tri-State area was low on 2024 inventory when I started hunting year-end deals Christmas week.

I expanded my search using Jeep's inventory checker and the three major search engines. Since I was narrowly focused on an Anvil or White Rubicon X, search results were manageable.

I capped my search at 1,000 miles and had quotes from major car carriers. Pro-tip, tell the carrier you're flexible up to 2-weeks and you should get lucky with a trucker who has room for one more. Mercury Auto Transport is highly rated and very responsive to the flexibility ... your dealer should have no problem holding for a week or two.

I ended up getting super lucky and my dealer had a retired guy drive it to me +400 miles for free.

Don’t have a hissy fit. I moved my running boards from my 2022 to my Mojave. My wife needs the step up, have always liked these flat style boards.
I put the Mopar steps on my new Mojave as well. Besides the easier entry, they block a lot of crap from getting thrown up on the side of the Jeep.

Fyi only. If you buy a truck that sat for a year. My opinion only Replace the oil early. And consider replacing the battery.

I did my first oil change at 500 miles and replaced the main battery. Truck was on the lot 11 months from build to purchase. Oil changes are recommended every x miles or 12 months so figured just do it since it was a year since build. Battery tested okay but I had a few weird electrical issues when temps hit 38 here so I swapped it. Might be overkill but I won't worry about a weak battery that sat a year without charging or whatever happened to the oil.
I thought about gas issues with possible varnishing but not much I can do other than replace the fuel filter. Which is on my list but not done yet.

Great points ... Already changed my oil.

Great minds must think alike! Besides my original boards I also moved my factory Mopar hard tri fold cover. I put it on, dealer moved it. They know something I don’t, I had a little dribble of water before, not now on the new Mojave.

Been watching the market for a while, wanted to move on from my 2014 JKUR. Went into the dealer ship on January 1st and offered 50K for a 2024 Gladiator Rubicon X that stickered for $68,115. Dealer said he couldn't do it. Got a call from the dealership on January 3rd after the new incentives went into effect and they came down to $50,492. No add on fees, just standard California tax and document fees. Happy with my purchase. The comfort of the leather power seats alone is worth it.
Basically the same deal I got on a Rubicon X at TuttleClick Irvine Friday.

Bought a new 24 Mojave X yesterday, MSRP was $69,900 I paid $48,801 plus tax with only 1 dealer add on of $1299 that actually had some value so Im not worried about it. Only X they had, and almost none left around here or I feel I could have done a little better. Same dealer has 17 Rubicons and 2 regular Mojaves in stock and I bet the % off would be even better on those. If anyone wants their info I can hook you up with a sales manager and cut through most of the BS.

Congrats and welcome!
Just fyi, the forum has a strict rule regarding anyone named Dave posting about a new JT without photos. You seem like a great guy … just a pro tip that you may want to insert a pic.

I just brought home a 24 rubicon. MSRP 65k, sales price 44k, OTD 50k. 5k of that was my stupid Colorado taxes… pretty decently optioned honestly. Got everything I wanted. Love the new screen compared to my old screen and love that they got rid of the red dashes

Personally speaking, a few of the reasons I like my 2023 better than the newer ones IS the dash and the smaller screen. I think the new futuristic dash with that giant tv and without the retro look is awful. However, you got a great deal.

yeah I’ve seen some dealers advertising down in the upper 30’s. But they add on a bunch of garbage.

Just bought a Gladiator Sport S with convenience package and Led lights package. 38k+tax came out to about 42k. Had to drive 6 hours to get that deal. I had talked to a dozen dealerships at that point.
