I had the same thoughts a few weeks ago, and mine is supercharged. I decided I really like the truck vs the wrangler, so did the best (but not cheapest) option. 392 Gladiator will be here next week. This is funny because I'm thinking of selling my Gladiator for a 392. My reason is because it's soo slow; honestly if I had bought a diesel Gladiator or even an auto I probably wouldn't be considering it because I love the utility of the Gladiator.
My gf drives a 2 door wrangler, so I own the "practical" vehicle. I really like having a pickup for house projects like getting mulch, 2x4's, taking the kayaks out, etc so I'm going to miss that, but I think I can get by with a Wrangler and renting a trailer on occasion.
Keep GladiatorLooking for some forum wisdom... disclaimer: This is a first world problem for sure....
My wife is wanting something different than her 392. This creates a bit of a dilemma for me. Do I sell my Gladiator and keep the 392, or let her sell/trade the 392??
For context the Gladiator is a Black 22 Rubicon diesel with 4" Rusty's springs, Fox 2.0 shocks and stabilizer, Metalcloak arms and drop brackets, Clayton front and rear trackbars, carrier bearing spacer, extended rear brake lines, and of course end links, Rock Hard sliders, Metalcloak front driveshaft, LOD Destroyer rear bumper, LOD Signature Series stubby front bumper w/Badland 12k winch, 37" Geolander X/AT on Teraflex Nomad wheels. Has 37" Ko2 spare, Roll-N-Lock bed cover w/T-rails, and low profile Billie Bars. Not installed, Teraflex rear extended travel kit-upper control arm brackets, new sway bar and some smaller items that came in the kit.
392 is a black 22 sky one-touch with 2.5" Clayton springs and Metalcloak arms and track bars, factory shocks with extensions, 37" BFG ko2 tires on factory wheels.
The Gladiator is super nice and would hate to part with, but the potential and pure awesomeness of the 392 is ultra tempting. I do hit trails a few times a year. Typically a Colorado trip (or 2), and some of the trails around Tulsa, SMORR, and Hot Springs.
If I were to sell the Gladiator should I pull the parts and sell separately? Or if I leave them how do I factor them into the price? I know I'll never get back what I put in, but want to "lose" as little as possible if I decide to sell.
I love the Gladiator, but am having visions of cruising down trails in the Hemi powered Wrangler. Anyway, I know it's ultimately my call, but just looking to bounce the idea off some other Jeep folks. Thanks!
Yes the 392 is definitely practicalNice! Would love to keep both, but we have a c8 as a 3rd car, and that's not going anywhere. Tough to add a 4th ride. She is wanting something more practical. We have the 3, and our 2 kids both have cars, so we are at our parking limit at the house.

Honestly, since the 392s about to go the way of the dodo and as long as the 392 isn’t super high mileage, I keep it. Then again with your current fleet it doesn’t sound like you have a pick up truck, so I guess there is actually a utility factor in your decision as well, don’t know that I helped your decision much but that’s my $.02.That's an awesome fleet! Yesterday, I wanted to keep the Gladiator, but thinking about overnight and Google searching parts today, I'm leaning towards the 392. Just hate letting go of all the time, parts, energy I have in the Gladiator. Especially when I saw the KBB Gladiator pricing...
It's hit or miss, I had one (2022 Grand Wagoneer) and had to get rid of it after on 2700 miles, it was a disaster with issues, dealerships were also totally not ready to handle this complex vehicle plus providing the right customer service. They are sweet for sure. I am amazed at all the options they have.
Time for the kids to move out to gain more parking!!!Nice! Would love to keep both, but we have a c8 as a 3rd car, and that's not going anywhere. Tough to add a 4th ride. Dealerships are barely equipped to handle oil changes! It's hit or miss, I had one (2022 Grand Wagoneer) and had to get rid of it after on 2700 miles, it was a disaster with issues, dealerships were also totally not ready to handle this complex vehicle plus providing the right customer service.
