Anyone running the Fox 3.0’s?

Did you need to run spacers to clear the schools in the rear? I put 3.0s on my JT rubicon and the rear is to close....I’m gonna put a spacer on it for a quick fix, but I’m wondering if you had the same issue?

I didn’t have to put spacers. I’ll take some pictures tonight if I can.

Just installed these in my JT and I’m incredibly disappointed. Super harsh and stiff ride, no matter what adjustments I make, doesn’t make the slightest difference in ride quality. It may be a one off since no one else has experienced this, but needless to say, I’m going back to my Bilsteins

They’re stiff and harsh on road but a dream off road. Working as designed. If you spend a lot of time off road and like to go fast through stuff there’s nothing better OTS.

If you like Bilstein 5100's, you will never like any off the shelf performance shock valved to drive fast with our limited suspension travel......OK maybe SDI's.

I'm still wondering why people are buying something with "Race" in the description and complaining about ride quality?

Because every other person I’ve talked to who owns them is able to make incremental adjustments with the DSC, I can not. I knew I would be sacrificing on road confront, what I was not prepared for was the ride staying exactly the same whether compression is fully open or closed.

So you are saying you cant tell a difference between full open and full closed with the Fox's?

What were you looking to improve swapping from your 8100's to the Fox 3.0's? Maybe you should just focus on tuning the 8100's since they are closer to your liking?

yeah, that was the disappointing part, no difference between fully opened and closed. Others who run the shocks can tell a difference with just two clicks.

Did you buy them off the shelf or from Accutune? Given the intended use of those shocks, I would be 0% surprised if they weren't harsh on the JT platform as an over the counter shock. Same shocks as the F150 Raptor.

Yes, 2-3 clicks with my Fox 2.5's is a pretty big difference. I always go 2 if I think I need one, drive it, then possibly back off one if I feel I went too far.

Nitrogen pressure surely would reduce the effectiveness of the clickers, but doesn't explain the ride harshness?

I'd definitely reach out to Fox, but not sure how good that experience will be.

I just looked at the Accutune site, they don't even sell 3.0 for Gladiators. You would have to ask them why. They don't sell 3.0 Kings for JT either fwiw.

I know Fox has a video out with 3.0 on a JL but I have to suspect it's a tuned version not just off the shelf.

You could call Accutune and ask them about tuning them for you.

If you aren't desert running it's going to provide really no benefit to a properly setup 2.5 like the Mojave has, or even for most applications 2.0 external reservoirs.

So you bought a Mojave and changed out one of the main components that make it a Mojave. Interesting.

Yes.. he replaced a set of generic off the shelf, non adjustable, decent (when compared to anything else offered from the factory) shocks with some of the best performing shocks available. Add a set of the Fox hydraulic bumpstops ( yes, again much preferred over the factory offering) and it’ll be damn near perfect. I fail to understand why people thing that the rubicon and Mojave factory Fox shocks are the end all be all shock and can’t be beat. If you’re used to garbage suspension and shocks then I guess I can see why but….
