First post, new to the Jeep brand after driving Tacoma‘s for years.

Ive been making a few cosmetic changes to the JT but switching out the bumper was my first ”major” project which took a few hours.

I went with the Rugged Ridge Spartacus front bumper, mostly because I like the stubby option and it gives me the chance to add a winch later on.

Overall it was a fun project, I wanted to keep the factory skid for now so that took some cutting/trimming to get the fit I wanted. But overall I think it looks good. (Please ignore the wonky cuts, my saw gave out on me halfway through and I had to finish with a utility knife, they’re hidden under the backside of the bumper anyway haha)

Gonna attach a couple pics, including what the original skid looked like and an after pic to give an idea of how much material was removed.

Also dropping the link to Amazon for the bumper, currently at a very reasonable price in case anyone wants to grab one.

Sorry for the long post, love seeing the work done here. Cheers.

I need to poke my head up in there to see what's actually vulnerable on these Jeep that far forward.

I just think the skid plates make the front look so low and bulky. On my TJ there's nothing up there but the steering box and I just put a beefy skid over that.

I assume it's there for a reason, other than drag reduction and the steering box....?

I've never had a sticker on my vehicles. Not for any particular reason, rather I've just never seen a sticker that would really convey what I wanted it to convey. But then I saw this sticker. And I thought, dang, that's really my attitude when I'm exploring in my Jeep. So after 40 years of owning cars I got my first sticker.

(Those of you from my generation will instantly recognize where the phrase is from)

Quadratec and Oracle…the double whammy of poor customer service.
I like QuadraTec! Never a problem in over 30 years. Some people just get the short straw I’m sure in any industry, too bad that happened to him.

Nice wheels. I had black Roosts on my F150, and bronze ones on my Canyon, I love the look. Post up when you get them mounted on the truck!

I second that. I've ordered a few things from them since owning my jeep and always had quick shipping and no issues.

And just to show I wasn't just screwing around with stickers I also did the initial rough mount of my axe. I didn't want to use Quick Fists but the axe handle is so oddly shaped that it does not lend itself to normal circular clamps. But because the axe head weighs so much I'm going to install a little angle to support the handle right at the axe head. So the Quick Fists aren't supporting all of the weight. Also two rubber bumpers behind the head to keep the axe from rotation in the Quick Fists.
