Each store may manage it a bit differently but to your point, if the battery has failed, then it will get replaced. How many times have they asked if you have a winch hooked to it?!?!?

the battery was from my wife's honda odyssey. Coincidentally, I run the longer odyssey extreme battery in my JT. ?

The only "catch" to their battery replacement policy is that you can't get a warranty replacement on the warranty replacement.

I would assume there is language that any replacement battery only has whatever warranty remaining from the original purchase. In theory if the second replacement failed while still in the original warranty period, should be entitled to a third battery.

Agree with you 100%. I endured the dealer only to extract what warranty was left. Yep, lucky to live in Idaho.

I went in wet and by hand. Torqued to 100 ft/lbs. I work with a lot of non ferrous and SS hardware in my day job.

It's too bad it's not considered an "accessory" or it would get the warranty on the battery or that of the truck, which-ever is longer, but then accessories are generally only 2 years.
If it was handled like lift kits, or other MOPAR accessories (like a trailer brake controller) it would be the period of warranty the item has, or the remainder of the Jeep, whichever is longer. That's how it reads in the MOPAR warranty papers.
If you put on an accessory with 35 months remaining on the Jeep, it inherits the 35 months. If the Jeep has only 2 months of warranty left, then the accessory has the 2 year warranty.

Yes, I use nickle based antiseize on stainless. Well, I use it just about everywhere due to higher temps than aluminum or copper based. Copper based is a no no on stainless.

You can just see it in the box, lol! Blue loctite too. Those dont get mixed, rofl

I painted everything up, removed one bolt, installed the SS bolt, and worked my way around to not disturb the alignment on the arcus components/spacer.

No, the mounting plate is screwed down. You could remove the bolts that hold the ladder on the mounting plate

Looks like the updated version of my tailgate ladder. That one swivels so will work off the side or end of the tailgate if I recall.

I mounted mine "lower" on the tailgate to clear the tonneau cover and latches I made for the cover.

I wonder if he could replace the bolts that hold the ladder to the pivot part with pins.
Mine comes off the mounting plate by pulling two pins. That's what I do for long stuff or for my tent. I also mounted the mounting plate to the tailgate using rivnuts and screws I could take out in a minute if I wanted the plate off.
