Got the Core control arms on. I made the notch about 1" longer on the front Rock Hard skids. Could have gotten away with about 1/2". i have to figure something out to fit the Rock Hard skids on the front axle lower frame mounts. As I have the Teraflex geo brackets.

Teraflex makes a piece of armor that bolts right on the arm geo brackets. I got it and seems to be pretty robust I have no issue dragging those over rocks and such.

I will actually be taking those and the geo brackets off soonish as I have the IR long arm kit waiting to go in.

A skinny bumper for aFatBird ?

was between quarter pounder and the tomahawk. Went with the motobilt due to lucking out and scoring one brand new and at a great price from a guy down the way. Chickened out when it came to chopping the frame ?

I ended up going with this one cause I really did like the look of how stubby it was. The frame horn chop sounds scary but was pretty easy once I pulled out the sawzall instead of my angle grinder.

Thanks for the update and pics. It looks as if there's sufficient spacing for the zirks to rotate without contacting the plates. Did you clearance the plates for easier access to add grease?

Yeah, the notch in the rear of the skids. I cut about 1" out of it. Could have gotten away with only cutting about a half inch.

What about replacing the straight zerk with a 90 or 45 degree one? Think that would clear?

I know the factory setup is open on the bottom. Do the Rusty’s brackets have a provision where dirt and rocks will be pushed out when packed in? Looking at the photo made me have some concern regarding debris being packed in and around the bushing…
It does not sandwich the mount. It is open on the inboard side.

installed rugged ridge fender chops
FYI: Even though i have factory LED package & had white DRL on turn signals & DRL checked on Uconnect. The Rugged Ridge LEDs do not become DRL automatically.

I had to use Jscan DRL menu to indicate turn signal as DRL for it to work as DRL. Then to my pleasant surprise they are Orange/amber DRL & White during night. Happy with the results & how it retains factory inner liners.

First real cleaning this year. Think I got all the bugs with the help of some heavy duty bug spray. Forgot how nice having clean windows is. Skipped wheels. Forgot I was out of cleaner so more on the way.
