Sounds like people need to find a good dealer.
This is pretty tough. I live in Vegas, so something like 5 jeep dealers nearby. I have called the one I purchased the jeep from 4 separate times to get on a list, and can't even get a call back about whether they put me on the list to get the recall done or not. I called another and was told they don't do this. Another told me that they first inspect the old pump and if they don't see any problems, they just update the recall to say it's been completed on your jeep. I let them know that isn't AT ALL what that recall is, and they just shrugged. One dealer sounded competent and has decent reviews from friends, but couldn't give me an ETA for when they would expect it to be in.

Long story short, finding a good service department can be really tricky for warranty work. They all seem to have no interest in doing this, which makes me think Jeep isn't reimbursing enough to make it worth their time.

A good tip for finding a solid dealership if you have an EcoDiesel... find the Dodge/Jeep dealership in your area that all the fleets buy their diesels from. Bonus points if they already sell lifted Jeeps off the lot.

There's one in my area that has been an absolute gem to work with. All the big diesels go there and all the heavily modified Jeeps go there, took me a few tries to find the right one but never going to another one again.

If there was ever something to mention to Jeep corporate, it's this BS right here. Opening Jeep up to unnecessary and very real liability by falsely claiming a safety recall has been completed.

@redgladiator86 What were all the part numbers were on your work order?

I only had the following for my NON-contaminated replacement done up in Canada,
  1. CSGNZ961AA-HP Fuel pump
  2. CSSMZ461AA-HP Fuel pump campaign kit
    • 1 EGR tube (gasket)
    • Rubber Gasket - Upper EGR Tube

Jeep Gladiator CP4 Fuel Pump EcoDiesel Recall 2024-111

From what I can see I am missing the following compared to the US safety Reference: 01A / NHTSA 23V-263 recall document:
  1. CSGNZ965AA - HPFP Campaign Kit
    • 1 Tube - Fuel Feed to Pump (pump to right rail)
    • 1 Tube - Fuel feed to pump (Pump to Left Rail)
    • 1 Tube - Fuel Injector Supply
  2. CSFP01A1AA - Owners Manual Addendum, tip card, fuel door decal
  3. 4275086AE -Authorized Modification Label
I'm wondering if there are differences for Canadian vs US recall repairs since I am in Canada. Anyone else out there with a Canadian gladiator had the recall done that can confirm what the parts were on their work order?

I did reach out to JeepCares to let the know that I couldn't even get a call back from any of the local dealers to get on the list, and then the next day one of them called and said "we've been trying to reach you but couldn't get through." Complete lie, it's like they forget that we have a call log that can say exactly who called over the last month.

Thanks for doing the right thing. If these independent businesses don't want to support a product (especially including legally mandated support), then they shouldn't sell the product.

The more I hear about individual Jeep dealerships, the more frustrating I imagine it is being in @JeepCares shoes.

Got my recall done last week. 4 month wait on parts. Went ahead and had them replace the fuel filter while they were doing the fuel pump. Dealer wouldn’t give me the old pump as he claimed they had to send it back to Chrysler.

Wait until after the dealer closes for the day. Then go to the scrap bin or trash bin. It might be sitting there.

Yea, I figured it got tossed but I’ve got to much going on to argue about getting back a core I wouldn’t rebuild and use for another 3 or 4 years anyway.

No......you would send the old pump out and have the pistons pinned. Core charge is $300.

Here’s the recall with all the parts numbers. Contaminated parts are marked as such.
Im not seeing how they check if the pump is contaminated or not. Anyone know what the procedure is?

My Jeep is fine so far. My experience is that over 50% of the times i take a vehicle to a dealer it comes out with more problems.
Should i consider a if its not broken leave it alone mentality?

I was told by my dealership that if your truck arrives under its own power it just gets the pump. There’s no diagnostic for contamination outside of a dead truck.

They are making me make two appointments. One to check for contamination... Then wait for parts.
