I'm not a rock crawler or big time wheeler, but I do like the big tire with no lift look. Anyone out there running 37s on factory 20" High Altitude wheels?

do you want an off-road truck that has to be careful over speed bumps? Because that's how you get an off-road truck that has to be careful over speed bumps.

So maybe go with 35s or a 315/60?

I might end up running 37's on no lift for a few months before I get my full lift. however im most likely going to do a 1 inch spacer front to rear and properly bump stop it. Ideal? no. Doable, yes. Also I have a Rubicon so my fender flares provide I believe 2 inches of extra clearance compared to standard flares.

Goodyear MT's like on the Bronco Sasquatch. I chose them for the light weight ( either 52 or 54 lbs ). Just under 10,000 on them and only wore 1/32d. I have been very pleased with them. As you will hear they do hold rocks . Taught my grandkids how to pluck them out!

37s no lift just fine on a Willys....no fenders though. They be gone. Tires ripped them off.

Just kidding. I have a fender delete thing going on. 37s on zero offset 17x9s. No rubbing anywhere. But a 3" lift is in a box in my foyer going on tomorrow.

Gas, or diesel? Gas^^ above is true. Diesel not true…. The 1.25” longer bump tube is just enough to save the fenders up front….. I was impatient lol.

To your point though….

OP- just add 2” Mopar springs and be happier you have the added up travel for ride comfort.

20” wheels don’t belong on a Jeep unless you are pushing 40”+ tire…. ( opinion) in addition your 20’s are probably like 17’s in that they are 7.5” wide…. A 12.5+ wide tire on that narrow of a wheel is going to wear the center of the tread OR feather wear if aired down to the proper amount…. Buy once cry once do the wheels with the tires…. Then mount them and realize you want 2” of up-travel ;) :)

I do appreciate the advice. This is my 1st Wrangler/Gladiator and I’m new to the world. I’ve had Grand Cherokee’s previously, whole different ride and world.

It's completely doable. I have ran 50mph on washboard roads and been airborne and have had zero rubbing. Wheels turned at maximum articulation, it will rub. Swaybar disconnects it will definitely rub. 20" wheels, I don't know. This is BFG KO2 / 37x12.50x17 on factory Mojave wheels.

The High Altitude 20s are 8” wide.

I have stock High Altitude wheels with 35x12.50 tires that have 48k miles on them. They are wearing even and still have a lot of tread left.
