What are some suggestions/ideas/wants you'd like to see in Jeep vehicles that just make life a little bit easier. I'm not talking about V8 being stock, or 37s and 5.13s standard, or things like that. Just the little annoyances in vehicles that you just look at and go
I'll start:
1. Plugs that are hidden and offer space to hide cords in. For example - the USB2 port in the center console. Yet we have the flapper-covered USB & USB-C ports on the dash - miles from anywhere you would put your phone. Of course, this all stems from legalities surrounding DRM and the reluctance/inability to have wireless CarPlay/AA that functions as seamless as it can.
1b. Auto manufactures should look into using an interchangeable plug module that owners can swap out when technology changes, or owners want same connections. I'd rather use all USB-C to USB-C cords instead of carrying around USB-A to USB-C and USB-C to USB-C. And an AUX input? Who still uses that? I don't, and therefore, I don't need it.
2. Key fob storage location. Between the cupholders is "creative" but idiotic. An electrical device next to vessels of liquids. And should you have oversized vessels - or spouses that do - getting the key fob in and out of that location is a PITA. And don't bother putting any other keys on it. And any keyfob that large should automatically include proximity locks as a standard feature.
3. AUX buttons should be in a convenient location, with only slight movement from the steering wheel.
4. Not specifically Jeep-related, but other manufacturer's moving to giant touch screens that eliminate buttons & knobs. Also goes for the gradual disappearance of the beloved PRNDL and manual trans. I like Adam Savage's "First order of retrievability." Don't make me go thru 2 or 3 different screens to adjust the interior temperature.
