What is "radio"? Once you SiriusXM you never go back.
That extra 20 bucks or whatever Sirius now costs monthly is about equivalent to a case of beer. If I sit listening to Sirius when I'm thirsty or FM radio with a case of beer, the FM/beer wins every time.

This is the deal they’ve been offering me since around April. But that renegotiation after a year isn’t a lost cause.

I've been kind of hashing this question around as well - whether or not you could connect an external antenna. I actually like to listen to some talk radio stations, and I have found the window antenna to be very weak for both the AM and the FM stations. My daughter's Mazda CX-5 has a window antenna (but built into the rear window), and it is so much stronger receiving radio stations!

OK, then I'm down to two 40's of Mickey's Malt in paper bags and sitting on the curb singing to myself.

C'est la vie.

If XM would make a subscription $5 a month, everybody would keep it. Bet they would make more money.
I just canceled my XM recently. I enjoyed it but I get in my moods where I am tired of being nickle and dimed to death and then cancel most of my subs.

I listen to Pandora for free - but I pretty much always have cell service.

I've never paid more than $5/mo. Every time I try to cancel they offer me a cheap enough price to keep it. They make a killing off the people happily paying $20/mo lol

And the people paying $20/month that don't know they are. 😆

On my last negotiation with them, I insisted the service cancels after the promo period ends so I don't go a few months before noticing I'm paying $20/month. They eventually agreed.

I've had Sirius and now XM for a long time, every time your 'deal' rate expires, just call them up, complain for a minute about the cost, then they'll transfer you to "customer retention". That's where they make the deals, and to some extent you can haggle with them to get either lower price and/or locked in for longer.

Now this process is automated.

I use to do this. Also kept a disposable credit card on file that the expire date never went past the renewal date.

Finally got tire of that and really found very little use for the service and just dropped them all together.

…To add at least another $300.00 to the cost of a replacement windshield when it breaks leaving the showroom floor.
Doesn't change a thing for me - mine is covered.

GM tried the windshield antenna back in the late 60s-70s. Total garbage. Every time you used the wipers the signal was interrupted as the wiper arm crossed the wires. Hopefully the Jeep’s antenna is somewhat better.
We never had any problems - actually, never heard of any issues other than the expense way back then.
