The estimate I got was $1500 to repair this, and the taillight can be saved. The gladiator isn't my DD anymore and it now just does trail duty and towing duty. But I don't want to leave this. I'm not sure if anyone has dealt with this before...

Fix for $1500? Leave it? Pull the dent and bedline the bed? Replace the bed for $10k with Rebel Offroad?

If I had $10K to blow, I'd buy the flat bed. I would love to have that right now, actually. My truck gets truck use and that would be might handy - and I wouldn't feel bad about being hard on it.

If I didn't have $10K to blow? I'd fix the bed and try to avoid someone how cramming the space above the tail light into the ground 😂

If the truck was 20 years old - I'd pull the dent best as I could and put on of those Band-Aid stickers over it.

If my truck was just a trail truck I'd absolutely swap for the Rebel bed and canopy. Actually, even as a daily I'd swap if money wasn't an issue.

Check your inbox.
Pull the taillight, stick a bladder/balloon up there and inflate, see if you can pop it out (heat it up to make it easier). Sand it a little and put a sticker over it.

That's minor body damage.

Major body damage usually entails something not closing or something not turning.

$1500 sounds cheap, and coyote impact sticker looks great , if you like doing things like that ,sticker it and consider it a badge of honor!
Flatbed or regular bed would be damaged again , put up a WTB in marketplace for a bed your color you might score it for short money, just saying….Jack

This is my current leaning. Just ordered a deep throat (ha!) clamp and a finishing hammer. Going to try and pull the dent out and finish it. We'll see how it goes.
Awesome, good luck. I would do the same

$1,500 is a steal for that actually.
I would have to agree! I am in the automotive repair industry and have been for over 20 years and that is definitely more than $1,500 in damage, I would jump on that if you are worried about getting it repaired.

Is the floor bed buckled or pulled away from the bed seams? Look close at the front of the bed for being “racked” damaged from the impact spot. This will help you on next steps. These beds are from tin foil linage.
