Is this the box and subwoofers from crutchfield? Did you have any problems running power cables form battery to back here? Also did you use a line output converter
Yes, it is from Crutchfield. Shipping was fast and efficient. I did also install a 6 channel converter which made it easier to add the additional amp and make adjustments for the front and roll bar speakers. Running the wires although 4 AGW, wasn’t difficult just takes some patience. Total install took about 6 hours

Received my Rain Gear cab cover Friday! Visited their website on 16 July and noticed the cover listed with a price, rather than "Out of Stock". Immediately submitted my order...woohoo! This cover is heavy. I originally wanted the Mopar cover which is lighter weight and smaller when folded. However, I quite often have the front doors and freedom tops off and rear top on which would prevent the Mopar cover from fitting correctly as I understand. The Rain Gear cab cover fits great for any top on/off combination and is about the size of a small sleeping bag when rolled up/stored. Very happy with the Rain Gear Cab Cover!

Caster correction in progress, put the cheapie Mopar lift LCA's on. Super fast and easy, just had to take the time to make sure I had all my tools lined up. I dont' trust my old torque wrench, I'm having an alignment done and I'll ask them to check.

The steering is improved down the freeway. We did a quick 450 mile trip to Amador wine country last weekend and the wandery steering at 80 mph was a bummer. Heading to San Diego this weekend, that will exceed 650 miles, so we'll have a great comparison.

WHY didn't the proper LCA's come on the Rubicon from the factory?

JTRs don't really sit any higher stock...its the tires mostly.

Try hitting the bolt with a drift punch and see if you can get a torch on it without burning the paint.
It's probably paint that's keeping it 'stuck'.
Why they use a torx there is beyond me..

Really, you need that hammer impact wrench, I forgot what it's called

So here's the Smittybilt door hinge steps on the passenger side. The driver side was a complete disaster and I stripped a bolt along with scratching my paint. I should of just gave up but I kept going and going until I really stripped it clean . Any suggestions at this point? Drilling?

I just picked up an extracter kit with some pb blaster so I can try and drill it and extract it out but thanks because the torch option will prob be my last resort if this don't work. I'm gonna do it tomorrow cus it's 100 degress out today.

Once you start drilling, you are committed to drilling it out.

If there is any way to get a bite on it, I would try other methods first.

You might consider stopping by an auto body shop or a friendly dealer.
They have the hammer impacts because they use them to take off doors on regular cars.
It works well because when you hammer it, it forces the torx bit down into the bolt head and has less of a chance to strip it.
You can also try a one size bigger torx and try to hammer that into the bolt. You will probably ruin your torx bit, but at least you might be able to work it loose.

I have tried every trick in the book. From working on airplanes in the Navy to engineering some of the biggest superyachts in the world....use drilling as the last option as it's the most invasive.

Huh, well then all the folks buying Rubicon take off springs are getting robbed.

The caster from the factory is insufficient according to my suspension shop, and I'll be having the excessive toe-in corrected tomorrow since I now have sufficient caster.

I tried to do that yesterday when I was running out of options. I used a t55 and gave it a few good hits with the hammer but the teeth on the t55 was just tad too wide. I'm gonna sit on it for a few days and decide what to do.

You can try to put a taper on the bit with a grinder to help get it started, then hammer it home.

Not they're "getting robbed". They are getting the 2.0 Fox shocks.

Is that 3D or just a decal, it looks kind of 3D. I dig it, not sure about the placement but.....looks cool!
Ain’t no way in hell I’d put that on my JT. Begging to be keyed or worse, followed home.

Can't worry about that stuff. Someone has to have faith in humanity or all is lost. Regardless of the bad eggs out there......the majority of our public service folks are great!
