If you are still within your warranty period, and they determine you need it, yes.

A TSB is only an internal bulletin for technicians to help determine the proper repair for a given complaint. It is not a Recall where all affected vehicles get a notification and automatically get a given repair, even if they are outside of their warranty period.

So my local dealer is 40 miles, or 100, the one I bought from about 150 miles, which should I talk to about this? Purchasing dealer sent me a free oil change coupon and was going to do that next week and see about the factory headliner coming loose, any chance they can do this in one visit?

Thanks

Curious if the dealers will complain about synergy braces since they secure the steering box
Also wondering that. Even though many dealerships have recommended that steering brace I know someone who was turned down because they had 37” tires.

I would call them to see if the have the parts in stock before driving there. Tell them you would really like to avoid 2 trips if at all possible.

Anyone know a dealer in Maryland that will do this on a modified jeep. All the dealers near me said they will not service due to my Rock Krawler lift?
Not sure where you are in Maryland, but Jones in Bel Air ordered the parts for mine after looking at it. They never even mentioned my mods (I also have the RK lift). May want to give them a call.

My dealer is 40 miles away also. He stated that it would take 2 visits. One to evaluate the problem and the 2nd to do the repair. He also stated that he could not order parts until the 25th

I have my 2020 JTR for 2 weeks now, my son has his 2020 JT Sport for a month.
We both have the revision AE steering box, I checked.
We both checked and set tire pressures to 37 psi, and then went for a test drive.
His JT Sport drives very nice, no issues at all.
My JTR struggles to maintain lane alignment.
My JTR issue is more of the steering appearing to be too tight in that once you turn the wheel to make a lane adjustment the steering does not appear to be auto-centering... at 70 mph this makes it seem like you are having to overcorrect after an adjustment is made.

My son did also notice the difference and said "WTF?"
The steering box has an adjustment screw on the top with a lock nut.
Once long ago I set one too tight on my car. There was no return-to-centre after a turn. It was easy to fix. I adjusted the screw back and went for a test drive. Fixed it.
Hope this helps.

I took my Gladiator to my local dealer to have this issue looked at. The service manager told me it was the result of the aftermarket wheels I put on. Once I argued the fact that the wheels, same size tires, would not invoke an excessive amount of play in the steering, I reference the TSB about the issue. He then came back and said that the TSB did not apply to my engine option, which happens to be the only engine offered in the Gladiator. This kind of crap is very frustrating. They said it has play, but it feels about the same as others.

I just got off the phone with my dealership. I told them that the steering feels lose and I am constantly wandering down the road. They scheduled me for an inspection next Tues, and then they will order the parts.
Same, but not next Tuesday, LOL

The age old adage applies that “one catches flies more easily with honey than vinegar”

I suggest all the “tough guys and women” out there first try a little honey when dealing with their local service center. Nobody likes being dictated to, yelled at, pushed, and or jammed into Doing something. When WE act this way, we take away the opportunity for one one to actually feel good about doing something for their customer...

I know I hate it when someone comes at me with BOTH BARRELS to FORCE me to do something. MOST 98% of people NEED to feel good about what they do and WANT to help.

Give people a chance to do the right thing, and you WIL be surprised! The simple phrase of “I need your HELP to solve an issue“ goes a long way.

Try a little honey first and keep an open mind to understand what OTHERS have to deal with in their lives.

YOU can ALWAYS fall back to force and demand, if the 2% of the turds out there are NOT willing to help.

NOTE: I do NOT work for Jeep, or ANY automotive related service groups, but I KNOW I have had much better success in life be trying NOT to be an A-Hole, and avoiding being COMBATIVE during negotiations.

Good luck, we ALL MUST change the course our society is on, enough battling, open hostility and forceful language when it’s not required.
AMEN.....If you go in guns blazin, you're likely to be out of bullets before you accomplish your goal.
