my service manager told me the total opposite, said FCA reached out and told them to do the TSB "if the customer complains" - my dealer had no problems getting it done for me.
That's what I've heard as well.

Went to my dealer for an oil change yesterday and asked about the TSB and he gave me some line about having to make an appointment for them to look at my Gladiator to see if it qualified for the TSB. He said they only get 2 a week or something like that, but basically they have to deem it necessary before I can even have it done? Um no!

This is normal. It is a 2 visit gig. I took mine in for the Clutch recall on my JT Rubicon and I showed them the TSB and told them the steering was loose also. They said they would check it out. They agreed it was loose, gave me the truck back after the clutch fix, they ordered the steering parts, and I brought the truck back in 1 month later for the upgrade. Both times I was in and out in one day. Easy peasy.

So... if you get your aluminum steering box replaced/upgraded with this black metal gear steering box, is the Synergy steering bracket still necessary?

Sorry if answered already but this thread has over 100 pages.

Been waiting since mid September. After 4 separate visits just to get someone to look at it for the TSB, finally was updated yesterday that it could be months before everything arrives for repair. This is a nightmare.

Nothing definitive but my observation of a few comments I have seen of people who had the Synergy brace and gotten the mod done is that it is not necessary to be left on. A few though have put it back on for "just because" they have it anyways.

I love the truck and hate even thinking this way, but Florida Lemon law is three visits for the same issue... dealership does not have to do any work to it...

@JeepCares all we want is Jeep to support the products that have already been sold. Stop pushing out new product, until you’ve fixed what you’ve sold...

Day 50 waiting for parts from Airpark CJR in Scottsdale. No ETA or information of how many ahead of me in line. No contact from Service Advisor. Initially checked on 4 September by Service Advisor and parts ordered (but then cancelled), forced to return 16 September for a Technician - who just read the TSB I gave him and ordered the parts again. @JeepCares. Anyone know of a Phoenix metro area dealer actually performing the service? Airpark got all "1" on my sales survey, because the scale doesn't go to zero, this is the Service Department's one and only shot with me.

Had my steering checked on 9/3 and service said they would order it but it was on back order and they could only order so many each week. Checked back a couple weeks later - with the PARTS Dept... they verified when it was ordered and gave me a tentative date for it to arrive. I continued to check in with the PARTS Dept until they gave me confirmation that they had a tracking # for the shipment. At that time service called me and set up the appointment to have it installed the following week. Installed 10/29. I wasn’t having as terrible experience with mine so the improvement is not as pronounced, but it does feel better than the original. For those of you that do not have horrible steering, I recommend waiting until you are closer to the end of your warranty to have it done.

At the rate the backlog of parts is growing mine will probably be handled near the end of my warranty!

Hi, thanks for the feedback. Im curious though, if the TSB work improves the vehicle and is free, why is your recommendation to wait years to have it performed? Am I missing something?

Only wait if you do not feel like you have an issue currently. It may get worse or like @ShadowsPapa, myself and others, you may figure out what you thought wasn’t that bad really is an issue. If it is white knuckle driving now, then don’t wait!

Yea I haven't been given any updates from them also, I've heard one person was no.9 on the list, yet a week later someone else was told they were no.4 on the list. So I have no faith in what they are saying right now. I've asked for an update even though I went there in person last week, was promised that he would call me back, and yea - no call back.

I don't have time to chase down these guys to get the issue fixed. I'm aware of the supplier part delays, but the dealership needs to be more honest and upfront on their "wait list".
I had a phone call today from @JeepCares and it wasn't helpful at all, the PM's I had with Kathlyn here(on this forum)were very nice, but the "Jeep" person that called me today was not helpful at all, she kinda laughed about the issue and told me to go and try other dealers, basically said that they have no leverage on dealerships.
I had to make it clear to her that I understand the delays, but I would like for her to get some clarity on the waitlist at the dealer and give me a realistic timeframe on a repair. Based on her attitude I'd be surprised if I hear back from her. Its about optics, she at least could have talked like she cared about me as a customer, but choose to go down another path. Why be in a customer service job, if that's how you are going to react.
