Added some weather tight storage boxes to the bed. I like trifold hard covers but don’t like taking them off occasionally, so I was looking for some weatherproof storage that didn’t break the bank. I have another one of these in the back of my UTV for years and it’s held up to the weather great. Lockable, watertight and 50 gallon capacity each. Very tough and I can stand on them. They have tie downs, wheels, pull out handles, and even cup holders. Best of all they fit tight! Kobalt wheeled tool boxes on sale at Lowe’s for $54 ea.

AUTMATCH shackles 3/4” color matched. Blue shackles
275 Amp Battery/winch Disconnect switch. Battery Disconnect

I don’t have the Aux switches, so I figured the Disconnect Switch was a fool-proof way to safely isolate the circuit. It is rated for 275A continuous, 455A Intermittent, and 1250A momentarily. I just drilled 2 holes in the engine sound cover, and mounted it adjacent to the battery. Yes, I have to open the hood to supply power to the winch, and I’m okay with that.

Really like the color-match shackles.

Interesting, that is the exact same switch that comes with the Badland Apex winch.

Did you make the mounting bracket for the switch? That was my preferred location, but I didn’t have the time (patience) to fabricate one today.

Did you just unbolt the top and pivot it onto you bed cover?

I'm getting ready to do a Hothead Headliner on my JT, I have a Diamondback Tonneau Cover and was thinking of doing just like you did so I won't get fiberglass sanding dust in the interior.

Yes. Some aluminum bar stock. I took two bolts out where you see, pulled the black bracket away from the blue piece and inserted them in there and put the bolts back.
I drilled and threaded the aluminum bar and mounted the switch. That's actually two pieces of aluminum as I couldn't find my other stash of stock.
I figured it was close to where I had the cables come up and was mostly out of the way - but easily accessed if needed.

That looks awesome . I wonder how cheap I could do this if I did it on my own? I'm not to concerned with the blinker being integrated into it.
Thank you. I really like them. I imagine you could do something fairly reasonable. Maybe find some rectangular LEDs and fabricate some type of bracket that could attach flush on the cowl and allow you to point the LEDs at an angle towards the ground. Maybe someone with a 3D printer could fab something up. Before cutting/drilling into your nice ones, you could buy an unpainted cowl to test with.
