Hard top on? Seems like that would leave a lot of dust in the cab. Takes about 1/2 hr with it off.

Looks good tho
Yeah, I saw a video of someone doing it that way, and made sense since I was doing it alone. I was a house painter in a former life so it took very little effort to drape some plastic over the backseat and tape to the front of the hard top. Removed after wiping with acetone and installed very meticulously. I could do one now quickly, but 2 hours included watching YouTube vids on my phone in between steps to make sure I got it perfect the first time.

Installed the Supreme Suspensions hitch skid, was really just interested in a stable step.

I have not seen this brand before, looks like the best off-road hitch skid since warfab doesn’t look like they’re keeping up on production..

Does that not set off your backup camera? I got a similar one and would love to leave it on, but it makes the camera think I'm about to back into something whenever in reverse. I got the tow group though, so camera may point down more.

Not exactly sure what you mean by 'set off', but I have the tow group also, but not the back up sensors, so no issues. The hitch skid is in camera view for both and standard and magnified views.

I’ve seen people say that about the body armor skid, I think it looks like it sticks out just a little further than my warfab step judging from pictures.
My warfab doesn’t set it off. It is a flat step on top similar to the body armor, no loop. I have the steel bumper.

By set off, I just mean it beeps as if I'm about to back into something as soon as I put it in reverse when the rear skid is on.
I do have the backup sensors, so maybe that's the problem. Stinks because I'd hoped to just leave it on.

Understood, yeah, no sensors so no alarms.

Changed my oil today. My Jeep wave ran out. I’m glad I did. I was questioning whether they changed it last time and they assured me they did. There is no fucking way they changed last time and possibly the time before. Oil was so dirty, I might change it again in a couple thousand. I’m doing my own shit from now on. Dealers suck, period. This is the easiest vehicle I’ve ever owned to change the oil. Very easy to not make a mess.

Finally installed the bestop truck bed cap…

by far the single most frustrating thing I’ve ever installed on any jeep I have had my entire life. Some of the design choices they made make less than zero cents… I’m really hoping it actually functions when I go on a trip this weekend… But I guess we’ll see

The simple fact that it’s a non-permanent bed cover that in no way is easy to remove,or put back on, is mind boggling.

and also for anyone who’s looked at this and thought the tonneau cover was worth it. It is %100 not.

Don’t mind the tarp strap to the wheels… It rained like crazy in the middle of me cursing and trying to get this thing on correctly so I had to just quickly throw a tarp over the whole truck because I also had the rear window of my soft top out hoping that would’ve made it easier. So the tarp was drying while I finished.
I have had my eye on this for awhile now it sure looks good on your truck, I was planning on ordering one before rainy season gets here it is disappointing to here how frustrating the install was now I am thinking to get the soft-topper instead.

Oil in modern vehicles is black after a very short distance, it would be nearly impossible to tell if it had been changed or not without having it analyzed.
