Would someone be kind enough to tell me where to find the magic "do not check for the factory tails" setting is within JScan.

Hi Hans,

Currently, the solution for LED Jeeps is to use either a Tazer or JSCAN to tell the computer to not check for the factory tails. This is gong to be the only solution for LED Jeeps currently, as the ORACLE LED Tails pull more current than the Jeep LED Tails - As they are much brighter.

Interesting. All 4 set to deactivated and ECU restarted. On start the turn signal error message is gone. Turn on blinker and ~20 seconds later there is a chime and message returns.

And make sure you hit the green go button for each one.

Did you have LED or halogen originally? Did you set "Current Value Read From ECU" to Inactive and click the green GO button for each?

I was thinking I set them all to “active”…indicating that LEDs were present.

I had factory LED. And the choices are Active or Deactivated. I changed all 4 to Deactivated.

Try setting back to active and doing a couple sleep cycles - See if that resolves the problem. If that doesn't help, I would recommend reaching out to the JSCAN support: www.facebook.com/obdjscan

No “sleep cycles” should be necessary. You should get a confirmation each time an individual change is successful, after hitting the green button.

I don't think oracle is familiar with JScan and confusing the tazer function with the JScan interface.

but yeah, what you said. That's how it was for me as well.

These with the bumper lights are too bright for parking lots. I blinded some poor lady in a civic (I'm on 37s with 4" of suspension lift)... her arms jerked up to shield her eye like Dracula seeing the sun... we all laughed but that really wasn't cool.

Can a resistor be added into the reverse lights in the tail lights to dim them a touch? Maybe a two step setup using an aux switch...

I am probably putting the bumper reverse lights on an aux switch. I might add a relay so they work as reverse unless I turn the aux switch off.

Would recommend the aux switch route for this honestly.

Got my shipping information today. Super excited. Bummed that they won’t let me add the purchase to my account because I purchased them at Jeep Beach.
