I rarely wash any of my vehicles the old-fashioned way any more. I use Griot's Garage Spray-On Car Wash. https://www.griotsgarage.com/spray-on-car-wash/ If the vehicle is only dusty, sometimes I'll just use Griot's Speed Shine.

The great thing about Bright White is that it is really easy to keep clean (assuming you used a good synthetic wax or other good coating). I mist the entire Jeep with distilled water, then use the Spray-On Car Wash and work from the top down. If you use too much waterless wash, sometimes it can leave streaks. A quick mist with distilled water and a wipe with a clean micro fiber towel and all is good. I actually just did my JT and my wife's CX-5 last night with it. I'd say it took me 45 minutes to do both cars, but I work really slow.

I will say that I was really scared the first time I used the waterless wash technique. I was thinking there would be fine scratches everywhere, but that never happened. Actually, the first time I used it was on an Indium Grey VW Golf R, which had piano black trim everywhere. I had spent hours perfecting the paint & trim on that car, and the Griot's waterless wash worked perfectly.

Now, nothing beats a proper 2-bucket wash for a really dirty vehicle or one covered in sand/salt from the winter. But for all other times, a good waterless wash is the way to go.

Hmm, I didn't think it was all that hard to wash. I spend enough time in the desert that if I tried to keep it clean all the time I would go nuts. Sometimes in between washing I will use my pressure washer to clean off the wheels/tires, wheel wells, fenders, etc.

When I do wash it one of those wash mitts and a bucket of soapy water works fine. I have a small step stool to reach the top. Rinse then dry with a big terry cloth towel.

If you offer a kid a sizer he will clean the snow off your porch and driveway on the winter pick your leaves up in the fall and was your keep whenever.

I don't worry about all the nooks and crannies. Just wash it every couple months and just do the main parts.

I'm the opposite, and think it's one of the easier vehicles I've owned to wash. It seems like I don't have to hunch over or squat as much as I've had to with other smaller vehicles I've owned.

I have a car wash membership to a place down the street, and it's just one of your traditional drive through car washes. I'll drive through it and use one of those Absorber XL chamois (shammy?) towels to dry, and use the vacuums at the end of the car wash they offer. I currently go through that once a week or more since I have that membership, use Chemical Guys Total Interior Cleaner and Protectant with a microfiber cloth on the inside, Chemical Guys Tire Kicker on the tires and black plastics with an applicator on the outside, and Sprayway Glass Cleaner with a microfiber towel on the glass, and that's about it regularly. Once a month I'll apply some kind of spray wax (I'm currently using Chemical Guys Banana Spray Wax) if I think about it, and I have no yet done a full wax after owning the truck for around 6 months. I also make sure to scrub off any bugs from the front when I notice them.

Also, I don't really recommend Chemical Guys stuff. I'd heard how good they were and grabbed a few to try out. They're perfectly fine, but it's just that I don't necessarily think they're better than whatever else is out there, and they cost more. I will say that I really like that Total Interior Cleaner, and will probably get that again.

For reference, I took this pic yesterday, and I'd washed the car probably 4 days prior. It's about how it looks 90% of the time as long as the roads on the farm aren't muddy.

Other than putting 2 or 3 Zaino coats on to protect against sun fade, I will probably only wash once or twice a year. I love not having to give a shit the way I would with a sports car.
I am with you except I wouldn't wash a sports car either, and don't even bother with whatever Zaino is.

I use Chemical Guys Mr. Pink Pink Super suds in their foam canon that attaches to my garden hose. After foaming the car, I use a microfiber wash cloth to get a deeper clean. When done, I use my electric blower to help dry off the vehicle. Not to difficult a process and the Gladiator looks awesome.

Sting grey owner here- pretty easy to wash. When its not muddy it's more "Sting Grey"- went from a black JK -which was never clean, and this one looks semi-clean even when its dirty. Best color decision ever.

Foam cannon on a pressure washer is the only way to go. I line our CX-9 up behind the gladiator (both are ceramic coated) and foam them both down at the same time. Wait about 2 or 3 minutes, then rinse with a mild nozzle. Both can be easily done in under 30. If ceramic wasn’t underneath (or any form of hydrophobic protectant) I’d likely have to bucket wash them to get that residual grime layer off. I still hand wash but only once or twice a year.

I just like a clean vehicle ( personal preference ) but it doesn't have to be perfect. Foam canon with a cheap electric pressure washer once a week works great. And when its really dirty, hand wash is pretty easy, especially compared to my full size trucks.

Does anyone else wash their wheel wells and frame??

Wheel wells yes, frame no, I have it coated in Fluid Film which is oily, waxy and sticky, but keeps rust and corrosion away.

Love this post!

She's a horrible beast to try and keep clean.

We're not going to get into how much time I spend cleaning this thing...

The only tip I have is for the interior. After I sanitize my hands with a wipe (coming back from a shop or fuelling the truck), I also give the inside a quick wipe down before tossing the wipe in the trash. It only takes a few seconds and really helps to keep the inside clean.
