That is VERY discouraging!! My engine has always had a slight rattle at idle on my JTR. Our JLUR is whisper quiet at idle.Absolutely

You know why they call it the ‘Royale with Cheese?’I am willing to bet a cheese burger, this is it.
I'd be very interested in the build dates on the vehicle............ the year and MDH.I have had at least 10 people I have helped. I could not understand why all the data looked perfect until they laid into it. No matter what I did, It just always seem ro stumble, until I reposition the cam and remove timing. I am willing to bet a cheese burger, this is it.
Touche lol. After you struggle for 30 years you start to catch on lolAnd I have a board with wood dowels as pegs to hold rings on in the proper order as I gap and fit them, another board that is bored to hold lifters in the proper order..............
I love the looks of that truck. I've thought about "Gladiator" decals for my hood, not sure how it would look on the blue.Well I put about 35 miles on it today. With the new cam and hardware, it is so mellow off the line. The tune was good news. It was running a bit on the rich side. My guess is, being in highlift all the time, it was consuming more fuel until the lobes wore down. It felt more aggressive before, but now things are very smooth and predictable.
The really good news, I kept going back on tunes and when I finally hit good fueling, it was at bit before the small pulley split. So standard pulley tunes should be good.
Small pulley guys I have an update. You are running rich around 5700 rpm. I have your names recorded with your current tune ao I will start Monday with sending out updates. I apologize guys, never would of imagined my engine was assembled wrong.
I drained the oil and cleaned the pan surprisingly it was pretty clean, I guess the oil filter setup is good!
Man jeeps are a bit of work to keep them A1?

You're asking for permission before asking for forgiveness. LOL Me.....it's the other way around.I was discussing my options with my wife, if this engine continues to have issues. Swaps, trade in etc. I told ger I could build a bullet proof 3.6 for 8-10k she was onboard after telling her the other options lol. Who knows the future could be fun.
So cheap? It cost me 3500 to do the 390 in my 70 Javelin a few years ago and I did all of the work except the sleeves and crankshaft turning. And you can get the parts, today, at today's prices, and do it for under 10K?I was discussing my options with my wife, if this engine continues to have issues.
