Did you do anything different on 2nd axle? Do you think RCVs would have prevented the catastrophe?
I have not yet, rcv’s I probably would’ve broke something inside the dif, maybe the knuckle, or nothing at all hard to know for sure, but either way wouodve been cheaper then replacing the whole axle.

Copy. I am doing RCVs, Reid knuckles, HD balljoints, trusses/gussets- but still worry about the tiny R&P lurking inside waiting to explode! ?

I put RCV axles and Dynatrac freespin hubs on my Power Wagon. I figure the hubs would be my fusible link that will break before anything else. It's easier and cheaper to replace a hub instead of anything else. I'm hoping Dynatrac will come out with a freespin kit for the JL/JT.

you’ll split the junction at the housing before you break the r& p unless you’re running a hellcat

37's with 2" leveling and sport fenders? Please elaborate on what 2" lift you use. Thank You. Trying to decide between this or just stripping the inner/lower fender for clearance. Thank You

Just took mine out for the first time with the new lift. Went to the local logging trails just to break it in a little. Basically just mud and some light rough terrain. I did crawl a small rock area for the fun of it. It performed beautifully. Pictures are from the end of our trip today, airing back up... and a quick undercarriage shot.

I gave it a 2.5 inch lift and added 37 inch tires. I kept my existing wheels for two reasons. First, I really like them and second, I'm on a budget and that was one place to save some money. It's perfect for my wife and I. I'm not going to re-gear right now, but maybe in the future.
Here's what I added:

Rubicon Express:
  • Super ride front lower fixed control arms
  • Heavy-duty forged adjustable front track bar
  • Front coil springs
  • Real coil springs
  • Track bar bracket and sway bar links
Fox:
  • Fox 2.0 performance shocks
RockJock:
  • JL/JT Currectlync steering system
Bilstein:
  • 5100 Series steering damper
Mickey Thompson:
  • 37x12 Baja Boss M/T
Spidertrax:
  • Offroad wheel spacers

Finally getting some pictures up of the cleaned Mojave with 3.5" Teraflex lift and 37" KO2s. Rides perfectly, very little road noise...just need to get the running boards on for the kids. Now I need the soft top and we will be ready for summer!

Did you maintain the stock Mojave shocks with the 3.5" Teraflex lift?

WOW!!!! Unique, with a retro flair. Love the KC lightbar... very cool build!
Thank you! That was exactly the look I was going for! I have moved the fox down and finished the wrap on the rear fenders since taking this photo. Also, wrapping the KC light covers!!!
