I'm going to put the Teraflex 1.5" leveling kit on my Rubi and was wondering if I will need an alignment after, just need to know if I need to schedule an alignment before I put the kit on. Thanks!

You shouldn't need an alignment, just recenter your steering wheel. One suggestion I would make is to add the Mopar lift kit LCAs as well. I added them to mine and it definitely helped the steering feel better with the added caster. You can pickup a pair for $60-70.

Thanks, I will definitely consider the control arms or perhaps get some adjustable ones. Thanks again for the quick answer!

Don't waste your money on adjustable lower arms for so little change in ride height def do the Mopar arms, they will give you more caster and better highway tracking/less wandering.

So if those lower control arms are for a lift kit, which ones do I get?

This should be what you need;

I did them on my Mojave and my past JLUXR, worth the cost.
These are what I got too after reading some tips and watching some videos on this kit's intstall. I am planning the same install this wknd.

I am curious as to the need for an alignment as well and also, many folks have said the "right way" to do this job is to loosen the upper and lower control arm bolts to avoid suspension bind. I plan on doing that but why can't you just loosen the track bar bolt too instead of removing it as well?

FYI, your axle will shift slightly. Even with that small of a lift. I did the same leveling kit on my previous JTW and the axle shifted by 1/2 inch to the passenger side (if I recall correctly). An adjustable track bar fixes that. On my current JTR, once I level I, I will go with a double adjustable track bar. That way you don't have to undo one end to fine tune it. Something like this. https://www.extremeterrain.com/redr...ble-adjustable-front-panhard-bar-j157926.html

To the original question, "do I need an alignment after installing the leveler?"... I can share my experience.

Two years and 12,000 miles into my original ownership of a 2022 Gladiator Sport, I installed Teraflex 1.5" levelers. I decided that an alignment was prudent because 1) I just messed with [that is, loosened, added, and tightened] the suspension, 2) the steering wheel needed to be recentered, and 3) it had been two years of on- and off-road driving since it's original alignment.

Turns out, it was the right thing to do, as shown by this before and after alignment report.

My suggestion is if any of these conditions substantially apply - time, miles, rough driving, or modifications - then just do it (especially if you've since added pricey tires that could benefit from proper wear).

spoiler: Toe and steering wheel adjustments are about all that can be adjusted (with factory components).

I put that leveling kit on as well with the Mopar Control arms. I had an alignment done as well.

There is nothing to align other than toe (which you are not messing with) and re-centering the steering wheel, which you can do in the driveway as well as any alignment shop will.

Alignment hurt anything? No. But if you want to keep the money in your pocket that's fine too.

The Mopar control arms are nice. Adds some caster back that these trucks need. I have the Teraflex 1.5" and bought the arms two years ago but still have not installed them. Truck drives fine. I'll get to it eventually.

Axle may move side to side a negligible amount. Again, if you want to spend some more money you can put in an adjustable track bar. By eyeball, mine looks fine stock.

I didn't want to spend the money - I have a 1.5" with the arms not installed and did not do an alignment. 21,000 miles later the truck is no worse for it.
