Modulate your foot pressure better, it doesn't HAVE to come on, even when still active.
It doesn’t bother me as much as o thought it would. The last 4 cars we had to it so it’s just natural now. All car do it now. It will never go away. Back in the carburetor days it took more gas to stop and start it. My how we have come a long way.

That's exactly how I control it. I learned that on my wife's Grand Cherokee (about 2 or 3 GC's ago) and it's talked about in other car forums. Press harder and it shuts off. Don't fly to the stop and slam the brakes hard - and you can keep it from shutting off. All with the brake pedal. And if at a stop light and you pressed too hard and it shut off, let up and move forward 2" and use the brakes again and it won't shut off. Then it will be running when the light turns.

One thing I noticed is the push button on the door handle, the natural action is to grab the handle. This initiated the auto unlock. The same natural action I take when I push the lock button it to grab the handle and push the button. So, I had the handle the door “unlocks” and I push the button and it locks and unlocks or never locks in the first place lol
A little quirk with an easy walk around. Jay push the button without grabbing the handle but my brain, just won’t get used to it.
Who has a push button to open the door?

I don't like that you have to pay a monthly fee for Uconnect Access.

With my 2017 F150 w/ Sync, I could track it, set scheduled start times, lock/unlock, see fuel level, have notifications about recalls (insert Ford joke) etc etc all for free.

Am I misunderstanding something about uconnect access?
I also came from a Ford that just included this stuff. I refuse to pay for XM Guardian, or XM Radio for that matter. Though something they don't like to advertise, the crash detection will trigger a call the XM and they will call emergency services on your behalf even without the monthly service fee.

Yeah, but if you aren't running doors you don't need window switches. So it doesn't make sense to me from a user standpoint.
I have a 3 year old, so I don't ever take the back doors off. Also keeping the back doors on let's me put stuff on the floor in the back without it flying out. So I like the switch being in the middle, it let's me put the back windows up and down while the front doors are off. I think a lot of people run front doors off, back doors on.

I traded a '16 JKU Rubicon For my '21 Overland. On the JKU the door locks were unlock to the rear and lock forward. On the JT. unlock is forward and lock is to the rear. On the JK the electric mirror switch was in the center stack (electric mirrors on a Jeep). Now there on the door. Minor aggravation, still. And has any noticed the window switches suck!

i just finished reading this entire thread on the nits people don’t like. I kept thinking “yeah, I don’t like that either”.

That said, I do love the Gladiator! It’s like a big go cart and we’re now starting to do some more trial riding and rock climbing (pretty mild at this point but we’re having a ball).

We hook it up behind the motorhome and take off for 3-4 months during the winter, getting tired of WI winters. Gets lot of looks and thumbs up and we gotten “Ducked” quite a few times as well!

One nit that wasn’t mentioned is there are no “always on” 12V receptacles in the front seat area. We use a Blue Ox Patriot braking system when towing that needs a 12V receptacle to supply power when the vehicle is shut down. 2017 wrangler had one in the center console storage area. Easily fixed by adding one … so I it’s guess no longer a nit!

Love that it’s smaller and more nimble than the Ram 2500 I traded for it.
Love that it gets better mileage than my Ram even lifted with 35s.

Hate that the center console USB doesn’t work for Apple CarPlay and the dash USB is in a terrible spot. Who thought that right in front of the shifter with a flip-up door was a good idea
Hate that it’s underpowered. I was spoiled with my 6.4 Ram. A 5.7 option would have been fantastic
