I have a Synergy rear track bar and a factory receiver hitch. Today I tried to get one of my 12.50-37X 17 BFG KO2 up there nd it's not even going to fit. The receiver hitch is the problem. Without the hitch a 38 might even fit. I now have a 315-70-17 up there for a spare that's going to have to work..
I had no problem with same size K02's (fully inflated) but you're right, i need to trim a bit off the end of the hitch that goes into the receiver, if i have those names right. (Either that, or drill new holes in the hitch).

oh man! I have been a huge fan of synergy’s simplicity to adjust too! Good shout out!
The Synergy rear track bar doesn't appear to have as much of "a bend" as my Clayton TB. May still be a problem.
For what it's worth I'm running a fully aired up 37x12.5x18 Falken Wildeak AT3W on an OEM 18" Overland wheel with the Clayton TB. Fits, no problem, just had to finesse up there a bit.

They definitely require gentle finesse, but they fit. And mine did fit with the stock rear track bar for a couple of months before the Clayton went in. In the road it was perfectly fine. The bend is required for articulation.

Mine would easily fit if I didn't have the receiver hitch.

This has been the biggest clearance issue. Have trimmed flush (to the back of the receiver) both our bike carrier and standard hitch.

I am trying to visualize how the track bar to tire clearance changes when flexing. ?
Anyone have a photo?
(Steel prices need to come back down so I can build another ramp for the driveway….)

I use a Kuat Transfer hitch bike rack and it fits fine.

Kuat makes nice stuff, but we usually cart 4+ bikes around, so vertical has suited our needs a little better. I am actually in the middle of monkeying with the Lolo to carry 6 across…. Swapping some of the steel bits out for aluminum. If I did it over again I would have just ordered a few of the pieces (foot lowering, and hangers) from Lolo and built the rest. Don’t get me wrong! It’s BA and well built as it was, I just like to mess with stuff….

last summer before tires were added.

Those are great. I bought the kuat specifically to put into the receiver of the Smittybilt scout trailer. But it’s been convenient to put on the jeep as well. I also carry a couple or more on top when necessary.

sorry if this was asked - BUT can you not set the bead than air down to about 10psi to get any 37 to fit (even a 38) ? I know you need to air it up before use but many of us carry a compressor anyhow. Asking for a friend.

Atturo Trail Blade Boss Mud Terrain LT37X12.50R17 do not fit with stock track bar. I even tried airing down to 5 PSI and I don't have a trailer hitch.

It will fit with the Clayton trackbar.

It is still probably going to depend on the tire- and wheel width… might need to shove it up with a ratchet strap around it…..(38’s…)

though I think most 38’s are 13.5” wide…. So ??‍♂

I’d like to run the falken rt in 38x13.50r17 and find out. Most likely just keep my 37 cooper stt pro under there as a spare for now.
