So I pulled the aux. I hooked the positive to the main and taped the negative. Also pulled the fuse. It fired up then shut off. I hear a computer squeal under hood which stops when I pull the add relay. It also is telling me I have a power steering issue

What's a computer squeal like? Like a short, or like an alarm?

So I don't think its a alarm. When I pull the relay it stops. When I reinstall the relay I can fell the relay charge. I swapped relays still the same

I have never heard of anybody move the Aux battery positive cables to the main battery until now. You may have fried something.

So I have seen a few post that way. You don't need to pull the fuse.

I'm normally not an optimist, but I wouldn't think you could do too much damage that way. It's still the positive side of a 12V battery.

Of course it's a rolling computer, so there's always a chance.
And if I understand right that the charging circuits are independent, those might freak out when they both try to come on.

Don't believe everything you read.

It's still going to do the test otherwise.
Pulling that cable and attaching to the positive of the main isn't really gaining anything.
(what do you have against pulling F42? Why not?)

I djust took plus to plus and negative to negative and no issues. Start stop Start to working, had never worked before. Did that because I didn't want to have lose ends and they fit werry well, dust bore out bigger holes in ends. The small battery is just a motorcycle battery, same size as my BMW GS 12000. SO Plus on plus, minus on minus. Som have but a bigger main battery in, mine working well now but I think about that later.

Three years ago I deleted the aux and simply ran the aux cables to the main batt terminals. Been working like a champ ever since. I doubt that is the problem. Though I did attach the aux negative to the main rather than tape it off as this person did.

Not sure why not just tape it off and secure it. By the time you do the connect A to B and so on - might as well do the Hootbro full wiring delete.
those wires down there hurt zip, use tape and straps if paranoid.
Easier to leave it for conversion back of a later owner or dealer wants it all put back. (and some will, for sure)

Part of the issue here may be that in the process of moving the wires around, something was touching that should not have, and took out a fuse. There's a lot more risk to running wires up and connecting them up top than just taping them off and be done with it.
So it makes me wonder if in the process of moving wires around - something wasn't done "just right" and took out a fuse. Maybe not - but worth digging.

Me - if you are going to do all of that, just strip it out
otherwise
Just tape them off below and be done with it. It hurts nothing and there's no risk because they aren't "rattling around down there" unless you let them. ZIP TIES are your friend.

That tape might cause some issue if he's lost a ground strap.

Main battery stopped holding a charge and I went back and forth to delete the aux or not given so many threads about different ways to accomplish the delete. I finally just decided to replace both. Went with the larger main and a new aux. Entire process swapping the aux from the top took an hour max. I feel better about keeping the system as it was designed and both batteries have 4 year full replacements so feeling good about that as well.

GREAT! Around here, you get prorated in that 4 years, after that, you get zip.
So if one fails at 24 months, you get roughly half back.

Well that super sucks! When I took my Optima battery back at just having it 2 years, they gave me full price refund toward the AC Delco I swapped for. Ended up getting a bunch of cash back.

Tires get prorated here.
