BTW, those “Fox”JTR (pretty shocks) are made by Monroe for Fox with a Fox sticker plastered on.
Wow!
I’ve never heard that before. Can you provide me a link? I’m not necessarily doubting you but I would think Fox wouldn’t want their name on an inferior product.

Sorry no link…a local 4 x 4 shop I buy from replaced a damaged one for a customer, after the change out, they cut it open to see how it was constructed, all the internals were stamped with Monroe. Welcome to the world of outsourcing.

Wow guys this is amazing info! From what I'm getting I definitely need to step up my budget to get a legit kit instead of the Rubicon take off route. Really appreciate it!

standard duty - +400 pounds over GVW
HD - +700 over GVW, which is about the axle rating
Not to derail this thread but I'm not sure this is correct... (I will delete if I'm wrong)

I think AEV is referring to Curb Weight + Extra Payload capacity... I don't believe they are quoting you additional weight OVER gross vehicle as they have a huge warning not to exceed GVWR.

Dobinsons makes I believe the stiffest rear springs available that basically take you all the way up to GVWR

negative. Information on website is purposefully unclear. It is not weight over stock curb weight.

+700 pounds over curb weight is GVW. Therefore if this were true, which it is not, then they would have the same performance as factory springs, for which their performance well supersedes stock

Wow... well good to know. thanks. I mean I'm 1000lb+ over GVWR so the HD springs would definitely work for me :)

this is exactly one of 2 primary reasons I went with them

it also explains why Brad was so harsh with his review of their lift on the wrangler when that test vehicle was stock and completely unloaded. As that is not the intended use case

Yes, my experience is based on a rock krawler system that i was at about 3k for everything to make the system work together. (track bar, front lca, good shocks, springs, rear track relocation bracket, sway bar links, bump stop blocks). I am not a fan of spacer kits.
How is the kit? Are they dual rate springs?

I have been happy with the kit, it's been problem free, drives well, installed it and haven't had to mess with anything. No death wobble, rides smooth and goes straight. Stock drive shafts, stock drag link, tie rod and stabilizer.

I got the 3" non-adjustable kit cause i didn't want 1 more thing to mess with and didn't need that extra little bit of flex.

The springs are triple rate.

If you are going to keep things in the bed, then see if you can order 4.5" rear springs instead of the 3.5" springs, the 3.5" rears will sag if you keep +200lbs in the back. (I have a topper and some tools back there)

The springs are triple rate.
I'm looking at having the 1.5" front springs to replace my stock ones. Comparing Rock Krawler to Synergy.

I would not bother with Rubicon springs . Do you have any idea how many different springs Jeep has for JTRs depending on how its equipped ? So many things change the weight of each JT that not every spring can be the same length or rate . look how many people change springs just because of the sag from a steel bumper alone and its still usually an educated guess for most of us. Go for an aftermarket spring so you have a better idea what you are getting. Don't piss money away on hit or miss JTR springs and junk shocks . Buy once when possible
