I wonder how this recall and fuel pump effects diesel JTs that are customer orders that haven't been built yet?
Probably will sit on the lot.

Does this mean we will have a fix soon?

Notice for new guys isn't until June second. I would expect a fix by August ? Throwing darts.

@JeepCares we spend 50k on a new vehicle that now has a fuel pump recall. We demand an answer as to if the replacement part has been revised or is the same part.
Agreed. I was under the assumption that this problem was remedied on new production since the recall was already out. I suspect the existing recall only had the May 2022 production date cutoff because dealers can't sell new cars with open recalls. I would not have purchased mine knowing this.

I will let you know...mine (Hydro Blue JTURD) just went from D1 to E status as of last week on the 12th..... supposedly in JS status now. So it was built after the 6 April cutoff for the recall......

As stated previously, Jeep didn't add 2023 models to the recall until the production/sales of them was done. You can't sell a new vehicle with a active recall. Once the sales of 2023 are done then the 2023's get rolled into the recall.

It's jeep playing legality games....love it or hate it, but they are following the law.

That being said if they are offering 2024 EcoD models, expect them to also be rolled into the recall once the 2025's go into production.

OK, we're all in it together now. Stop sale order makes sense as well. My guess is the diesel won't be available in 2024. I still hope everyone in the production pipeline gets their truck.

The good news, the Fed order requires a new fuel pump with better specs, not just a patch or a software cover.

Until then, I'm at 55K miles, keeping my additive handy, and driving of into the sunset packed to the gills. I won't skip a mile or a day of travel, unless the fates force me to.

@wildtaco I hope you can do the same. It should not produce a "no-buy" level of concern.

I'm extremely satisfied with the Jeep but knowing this beforehand would probably sway me towards a 3.6.
