I love my gladiator. Why is it so difficult for your pea brain to comprehend that seeing improvement opportunities is completely unrelated to liking your jeep?

You put an awful lot of effort into attempting to twist people’s words into some false narrative to fit your own bizarre needs. And after all that effort, failed miserably.
There is a nifty feature on this forum that fixes this problem. I found it months ago with this guy lmao.

fair. I’ve had my, and another friend had his, jeep broken into and the locks on the glove box and center consul did nothing to prevent them from getting inside. I have one of the Tuffy security boxes that I’ll be installing in my center consul with a combo lock to keep my stuff actually secure.
i just assumed the glove box and center console locks were a small deterrent instead of actual secure storage. I do wonder how hard it would be to defeat the rear locking seats. I’d love to see a test of someone really yanking on the nylon loop when it’s locked. Curious to see if it’s defeated easily.

I mentioned in another thread larger tires for the stock Sport S wheels (even though many of us swap them out), but here are a few "nits" that are basically small design changes...

A lot of men drive Jeeps, especially Gladiators, and we often drive one-handed. I'd prefer to have the Uconnect volume control on the left side of the steering wheel. Right now left front has the menu arrows and behind left is the Uconnect navigation (up / down / center button), but a small dial on the steering wheel (our Acura MDX has one) or similar would be beneficial. I know volume is currently behind right, but I always think twice about "where is it again?"

Also map / dome lights above the rear-view mirror (front). I know behind the driver's head is a large four light dome, but it's much easier, esp at night, to have some lights in the front above the center dash.

Another design gripe is the narrow driver's footwell. I have size 13 feet and sometimes when I brake, it's a little challenging as my feet fight each other for space.

One last one: with 2 boys, we could use USB charger ports in the rear (perhaps below the rear a/c vents).

I guess you could say I love my Gladiator if these are the only gripes  :involve:

I struggle with this often, as well.

Mine (Rubicon) has 2 USB and 2 mini USB ports, plus a 120V outlet below the rear a/c vents and window controls.

Dear Jeep I know I bought your design by choice but now that I did can you please magically turn it into a $120k Land Rover so I can have all the bells and whistles that I want ??

yeah that’s what I think of this thread,
It’s a Jeep it will always be a Jeep if you want something that’s super comfortable, quiet and had every accessory known to man then go buy that.
I don’t get guys who buy their Jeep and then bitch oh why don’t it have this or that.
Get in, scratch it, mud it and welcome to the lifestyle It’s a Jeep!
theres my two cents

That's a good thing Matthew. You don't want to take your Gladiator off road (cuz you broke your last Jeep) and you're asking about upgrading the sway bars. I get where you're coming from now
Danny boy, good thing you are on the other side of the country in Arizona. You would be giving our name a bad rep here on the east coast.

Were you that little kid in high school that was bullied and is now making up for it as an adult? Congratulations, I’m assuming your above 18 now and you are officially tough since your on your Second raptor and have a overly modified (not needed to be) LE. Your winning!!!

With the hardtop be able to remove the rear glass. V8 so the 0-60 time isnt terrible. Some type of shell option from mopar (it'll come eventually I suppose), bedliner thats softer/carpet. A way to store the door and top panels in the trunk/rear seats.
With 4.10 gears in the max tow, later feels very quick. Now under load it probably could use a V8.

I find the volume control gripe a bit perplexing as Jeep matches other vehicles I have had - it's not different than "most" out there. OK, maybe different than LUXURY and foreign makes, but it matches many other trucks.
So 5% don't like it - change it and you'll have the other 95% complaining then.
It's like light switches, wiper controls, many other things - just get used to it not being your beemer or mercedes or whatever. It's a Jeep, it's a truck. By the way - same control setup my Chevy truck had and the same as our last 3 Grand Cherokees - so I got used to it instantly.
They aren't about to change this one specific model when other Jeeps have this same setup.

Where are you when it cuts out? Mine never has. It only stops working in parking structures, my all-steel lean-to, or in my garage if I back clear in and am 10 feet back from the big door. Otherwise, I've never had it cut out. So that makes me wonder - since it's satellite, what's happening - should be immune to that issue, unlike FM or AM, which are blocked by "Things" like trees, hills/mountains, tall buildings and such. Only intense cloud cover, being in structures, or things that block the "view" of the sky (dense forest??)
Are some folks experiencing an issue because of a defect or problem?
My wife and son have never had their satellite radio "cut out" on them.

Must be "a Gladiator thing" HAHA

My experience, just for information, probably not helpful for this specific issue, is that SiriusXM reduced the power of the signal about 5 years ago somehow. I started cutting out in areas that it never would(under certain overpasses for instance.) At first I thought it was just me. Then I took the wifes car, nope hers did it too. Then I asked a few friends, they all noticed it too. I called to complain and got the typical runaround that company gives. It never gained strength from back then, so i know its weaker than it used to be, then again they used to advertise commercial free and that teyd play to the last note of the song and not overspeak, which they do on all channels now. Im old.

I installed one of the Consol Vaults it seems to be pretty Sturdy but of course I suppose if someone wants something bad enough they are going to get it if enough time

I guess I can see in some of the bigger city overpasses. Here, ours may go under 6 lanes, 2 seconds and you are through it.
Some stations there's almost as much talk as music now. But still better than normal FM - where in the morning times you get ALL talk, maybe 2 songs in 20 minutes while they yak. One FM station does 10 minutes worth of commercials, a song or two, then more yak, then another 10 minutes of commercials. Why bother? Call it "music-free radio"

Ok how about the inside locks, glove box center console, and back seat, all lock from auto locks when it’s parked. I understand there is some “magic” that has to happen when you are in it and driving. But I leave my back window out a lot and they help to deter the casual thieves. it’s already happened once they didn’t even steal anything just made a mess. And locking them all manually is a big PITA.

I’m totally down a 6.4

I wish they would make the willys package the same as he one for the wrangler. I don’t like the color matched fenders.

I know everyone hates the man bun but I can’t imagine anything easier I can throw it down at a light. I do want a back window that has zippers and just rolls up I may just tray and find anther one and take it to a boat top shop and have it made custom. Anyone with a line on a back window for sale?

Hey, something creative - that would be cool! Get in with the fob, those thing unlock. Get out - it KNOWS when Elvis has left the building, so it could lock those things. No FOB, no access. It's not that difficult - some cost, yeah, but I'd pay an extra 50 bucks or so for that.
